Channel 9 are renowned for their shit sports coverage
Begs the question why they bother having multiple channels when they can't be bothered showing two sports programs simultaneously. I was streaming the cycling and the Hird thing while watching the cricket. Put the ****ing cycling live on GEM you ****ing muppets!

I was driving when the over count was at 35 and the abc radio coverage was magnificent and you could feel the atmosphere.

Less than 10 overs to go, 2 wickets down, continue scoring at 5-6 an over. You can't argue because you're wrong. They should have been scoring faster and didn't. That decision cost them 10-20 runs which most likely would have won them the game. It burns you doesn't it? Watching them lose another one. Burns real bad.

Nope, just know a brick wall when I see one.

Yeah it was a stupid shot selection to try and go over the top when every fielder was in.
Especially when it meant leaving the next pair with just 9 balls to score 1 run. Just irresponsible.

96 no is better than 96 and going out because of stupid shot selection

Because Wade is better in this format. Some posters have the memory of a goldfish on here, Wade was good with the bat in England and deserves his chance.

I'm not saying it in terms of one deserving a go over the other, I'm just surprised that they aren't seeing what Nevill can do in the shorter formats. Every other keeper seems to get an automatic look in all formats.

But then how would people get their fix of their drama shows and British sitcoms from the 1970's :O !!

Exactly.. They have nfi with programming

There's hundreds of thousands of people that would watch the afl footy show at 8.30 if they put it on GEM in nsw/act/qld or even streamed it online but have to wait until midnight..

You sure about that? Believe it or not, schedulers do have some idea of what they are doing. Might not seem like it but they do.

Normally critical of Maxwell playing the glory shot, but in the circumstances it was fair enough.

• He had played a sensible innings to that point

• Aus only required 1 for the win with enough balls remaining it was a given

• He was 4 short of a well deserved century

Plus who wouldn't prefer 100 over red ink

Maxwell's great to watch. I just wish he could adapt his game to Test cricket because there's a spot for him if he can. Tremendous talent who can bat, sensational fielder and more than useful trundle with the ball. Well played tonight Maxy.
Still averages 40+ in First class cricket.

Showed a willingness to adapt his game to the match situation tonight which was pleasing.

Seriously, people having a go at Maxwell for trying to hit a 6 when he had won us the match!. I'd be more inclined to be grumpy at Smith's limp dismissal on 149 in the last over of the first game.

Every person here would've done the same thing in his position. A 100 for the taking.
Hmm, I probably would've just waited for an easy run.

That's just me though. I've got this extremely bizarre, radical idea that I would secure the team win before worrying about individual glory.

Crazy stuff I know.
