Why on earth not take the chance to get rid of Sandra this early?

Anyway, found this quite funny!

Having never watched Masterchef I was pretty skeptical of this guy coming in from another Channel 10 show. Good character and gets the game though. One of the better bits of casting for Australian survivor.

He has always live Tweeted during previous seasons of Survivor, so was pretty confident he would have a decent knowledge of the game.

I feel like its a complaint of Aus Survivor every year, convenient, easy to find Idols for at risk players.

66% of tribals with idols used so far, not a great start.

The nature of the game generally means that people are at risks are more likely to be looking for, and therefore finding, idols. If you're comfortable in the majority, looking for an idol puts a target on your back with your alliance thinking you're untrustworthy. When you're on the bottom, you have nothing to lose, so you more likely to take the risk to look for one.

They still shouldn’t be that easy to find… two of them literally stumbled across clues or idols.

i missed the start of Tuesday and Wednesday so watched on ten play after it finished, it’s much easier and only one ad per break..

It happens every season, the obvious vote, then everyone decides to blindside a “threat” in the first few tribals. Sandra was a no brainer.
I did notice late night three people in a row where left handed when writing their votes.

I just find it hard to believe everybody appeared to believe David's story when claiming the prize. He really did come across as someone making up a BS story. Sharna appears to be the only one to not buy it.

David dug his own grave at the ceremony, but it should have been obvious there was a high chance he had an idol and you would have only been burning your vote for voting for him.

But he didnt need to use the idol... Walking into tribal he was safe as houses and Sandra was gone then he shot his mouth off had to burn his idol and Sandra remained.

Hes a moron.

I may be wrong as it wasn't shown on camera but i believe that it was Kate and not Sandra that was getting the vote.

Sandra was certainly discussed and the producers used that to build tension cause she's a star I reckon.

The CLEAR plan amonst the Sam/David alliance was majority for Sandra and the remainder for Kate (in case Sandra had an idol).

See my previous post for the break up, two of the dudes stuck to the plan for Kate and everyone who was meant to vote Sandra flipped to David (except Sam who stuck with Sandra)

If we ever had a 'behind the scenes' show about AUS survivor, I reckon it would show camera-men or production staff pointing out idols in trees or rocks to some of the cast. And I reckon in many cases, they would need to do this multiple times for the penny to finally drop for some of the dumbarses they cast - lol.

Not talking about David, Hayley, Phoebe or Luke as they were pretty cool.

I sometimes think that happens too. It appears the person who finds the idol is the person who would make the ceremonies more interesting.

Though thinking about it, it doesn't appear to be the case.

It does go to someone who doesn't appear to be in danger it the time as well. When Chrissy found hers she wasn't in any danger at the time.

I think the girl who found the idol in the tree was meant to go to Briana though.

David only got his idol because the rest of the team mates voted for him to claim the prize.

I don't know... I actually just think David was such a waffling moron they just dismissed his story as his clueless waffle

Okay so just caught up the first 3 eps over the last few days.

5 hours per week.....Sorry to much, love the show but....2 eps per week 90 mins yeah okay.

Don't select people who have no idea what Survivor is, get people on who want to play the game.

24 contestants is 4 to 6 to many, I don't think either of the twins has done a confessional and there are 3 possibly 4 other players whose name I am not sure of.

Too many fricking idols!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The audio is weird. Hard to hear the talking, but the music and effects are super loud.

My biggest complaint every season!!!!!
The overly dramatic music is totally overdone.
I don't do Twatter so are people able to form a classic angry Twatter mob and get them to fix this?

All that said, I do love the brutal nature of the challenges and I think I can say that I now think JLP is possibly a better host of the show than Probst.:)
:thumbsu:

47 days >>>>>>> 25 days or whatever it was in US Season 41 (drop the 4 lol)

Still wayyy to early to pick a winner for mine but looking forward to seeing how it all pans out, just I will probably always be a few days behind due to work & other commitments.

Agree there isn't really a head and shoulders stand out. Though the two who look at playing the game well to me are:
Nina: she appears to know what she's doing playing the social game, I get the feeling she can make important plays as the series go on. She appears to have the fitness to contribute and win games, but not to the point of being a target during the mid-lage part of the game where being the biggest and strongest can make you a target. The only detriment I see is that she is Sandras daughter and the contestants will be weary of her.

Khan: he appears to have the fitness to contribute to win games and appears to not be afraid to make big moves so far without raising suspicion. The problem is he appears to be making big moves too early.

“I came into the public eye with my partner Jaryd who was on an AFL list..”

Bloke played 14 games for Carlton. You were hardly shagging Chris Judd.

Just caught up this afternoon with the early episodes. I laughed out loud at that bit, but my Mrs likes Sophie's social profile for what it's worth.

Feel bad for Andy. The being out front thing looked like the show trying to give a reason for his boot more than anything, feels to me like his reputation just preceded him too much

I didn't think he was that bad in his first season, just looked to me like he copped a bad edit. He seems like a bit of a flog (that 'small doses' mate in your friendship circle), every confessional where one of the cool kids was mocking him made the cut, that sort of thing.

Still, if you choose to come back, I have less sympathy. It seems like the done thing in Survivor Au, to be fair, but that scene where it looked like about 8-10 of them were in the water and he's first to speak about Alex as the target. I mean Alex seemed fairly obvious, but you'd want to be absolutely certain everyone in that group is on the same page (even with such a seemingly obvious choice), or you're just inviting danger.
