Australia's Run of Tons

Thinking tonight how often Australia seems to score a ton so i went back through all the scorecards of Australia's innings since the Indian series and it is amazing just how many often this team notches up tons.

Just a little food for thought:

• In the last 21 tests we've played (since 1st Test v India) we've scored a ton in 18 of those tests.
• our current streak stands at 4 tests in a row and 4 innings in a row.
• We've also scored a ton in the first innings in 18 of the last 21 tests and that streak is also standing at 4 in a row.
• in the last 21 tests, we've had 36 innings. in 22 of those innings we've had batsmen score a ton.
• of those 36 innings, this includes 5 were we didn't even score 100 runs in the innings cause we were chasing low scores, and 2 innings we were scored 154 declared and 174 declared we're it was going to be very hard to score a ton for a batsmen
• so realistically its 22 of the last 29 innings have seen a ton.
• 2nd innings aren't so good but still OK - 4 second innings have seen tons scored from 8 realistic chances to score tons.

I know these are just more crap stats but i reckon these tell a better story than most stats because it shows just how constantly we've been churning out 100's, which are what make up big scores.

Also, you'd note that we often have more than one and often (well not often, but much more regularly than most teams) had three batsmen notch up centuries in an innings.

This would have to be close to the best betting line-up of all time. And the way Hayden is going that 100 scoring streak doesn't look like stopping.

Hourn - in the 21 tests, how many tons have been scored by Aussie bats and opposition bats. And have you got a breakup of who has got them - just curious....
