Agree, although two of them are St Kevin's College boys VAFA06!
It's been a great couple of years for St Kevin's, with Wallis and Libba going as father/sons, big Tom Nicholls listed by Gold Coast at the end of last year and Jarryd Cachia being drafted by Carlton.
Lets hope Ben Casley and Dylan Conway get rookied.

Yawn.... BS stop flogging the skevs horse. No-one asked you about them!

Brian,

You forgot to mention that two current AFL coaches are also St Kevin's Old Boys.

Brian, jump on the Western Bulldogs player profiles, no mention of St. Kev's...

The boys developed their footy at St. Bernards FC, Played for years in successful junior teams at St Bernards FC, were found by the Cannons playing for St.Bernards FC...both of the boys are proof the St. Bernards junior pathway program is working very well.

I dare say if they didnt make it to the AFL they would have both come straight back to the pit, just as Toms brother Chris.

I highly doubt St Kevins as a College had as high an influence in the development of these players as St. Bernards did.

It is very interesting that you would go to such bother and go into such detail yet neglect the fact the two Skev old boys are now current AFL coaches.

It appears like that fact might put a little dampner of your " nothing good football wise comes out of St Kevin's college" theory.

How many ex St Bernards students are current AFL coaches?

More to the point, how many people h'yar have made the connection that Brian and Ron are one and the same chap?

If there was any doubt before, thus natter during off-season about SKOB -v- St Bernards clearly shows the same person is punching the same keyboard. Your true colours always come through at some stage old son.

Yar, 'tis a but like standing at 1st slip when Shaun Pollock was in his prime - shelling peas, thanks BriRon. ;)

Nice try.

Not related to Brian, so Colombo, you have it worng!

I note again the question re AFL coaches hasn't been answered...again

Yep. Briza and Rons 1 on 1 convos are just great. I call Ronny Nick Jnr.

I think you can attribute father sons to genes rather than schooling.

PS - Nice to see 5 Xavs on the Sydney list. Now that's a powerhouse.

Powerhouse?!?!? Everyone is proud of their own and understandably so but that’s a little heavy on the mayo Oct.

Hannebery looks be to be the real thing – hence his rising star award etc but it drops off pretty fast from there…

Johnston is yet to even arrive at the club so can’t comment on him at all but of the others all are only just footballers IMO. All are recycled player with 2 of them leaving their original club bc they couldn’t get a game (Ess - Richards, Kennedy – Hawks) when those teams were runners up and premiers respectively and the other bloke couldn’t have a more appropriate surname....

Would have been playing footy at School for SKC as long as they were for the Snow dogs VAFA 06 so not sure how you can determine what progress is made from which institution - be interesting to see you try though....

I would have thought that Caldor and the Doggies would have “found” them regardless of where they played their junior footy. I know that the Doggies have traditionally been a bit short on resources but I’m sure they have a telephone directory down at the club so it wouldn’t have been a big stretch to keep an eye on the sons of former captains and brownlow winners as they come into a draft landscape with GC and the GWS taking the lion share of the picks!!! By your logic its lucky that the falcons found G.Ablett Junior otherwise Geelong may never have got him!

Oct is probably the closest here – father’s genes the most likely source of talent here….

As much as Ron would like people to think I am him, I can tell you categorically that I am not. I have far more important things to be doing than posting every 5 minutes of every day.

As far as the Bulldogs lads go, they were quoted in a recent article with Caroline Wilson as saying ''our football priorities lay with St Kevin's first, Vic Metro second and Calder third''. No mention of the snowdogs VAFA06!

Season 2011 promises to be a good one, I hear on the grape vine that both Giansiracusa boys have returned home to SKOB, any other news?

I don't know where I try to get people to think I am you Brian?

We do agree-you and I are not the same person but it is fun watching all the experts think they have it right!

Now, can anyone tell me whether Xavs have two current AFL coaches?

Who the f*ck are the snowdogs? surely there isnt a 3rd team involved in this scenario??

Look, obviously both teams can lay claim to having a positive influence on there careers to date. Bernies providng the footballing base on which to launch their football, Skevvies the ability to sign the contract.

That means 2 Robbins moving clubs, I hear that Robbins from Uni Blacks(2 time Liston trophy winner) has gone to play at Parkdale in D1 with the Radfords, and taking a couple of guns with him.

i hear that robbins could be going to cohuna for a k a game

you are correct that 1 Robbins is leaving us, Dave to play up the bush with his brother in law. Dissapointing as he was a cracking bloke and a good player. Matty trained on Wednesday night.
