Haven't seen enough to really pick out any errors, but going off the patches I've watched & what I read:
Most impressive game he's played for the Tigs. Getting a heap when the midfield was on top was never his problem. Rarely played a good game when it wasn't going his way.

Cant we put this to bed ?
Fact, maybe he should of got a better go last year but that was last year.
Fact, we wanted him to stay.
Fact, he wanted to go because the money was better.
Fact, he was always going to be a handy player and play a few games.
Fact, he still does the same things wrong under pressure.
Fact, he is hardly the missing cog in our side.

Just get over it. Yes he will keep playing ok for the Tigers but i am more than happy with Heppel , Hardingham and Hibberd running off the half back line thanks !

This is to the point.

If Houli was still on the list, based on his performances this year, he would be behind Heppel, Hardingham, Slattery, McVeigh and possibly Hibberd as a backman for a number of different reasons (on balance he may be infront of Hibberd only).

Even in the last side we played Houli is probably still struggling to get a game. Going to Richmond has given him the best possible chance to succeed and made a decision on a player whose spot on the list would have inevitably come into question (simply because of competition for spots).

Houli is being played more up the ground. With Winderlich going down and Staton missing a game, I could see him getting a constant go on one of the flanks at Essendon.
I'm really happy for him and I hope he continues playing well.

Yeah, nah. People whinge when Stanton has 2 costly mistakes across a match or when Slatts has 3 or 4 kicked on him by a Johnson or LeCras. Bach had 4, which cost goals, in the first quarter alone against the Dogs, against a guy never noted for kicking goals, and at least one more that should've been a goal later in that game.

Has not deserved a game every week. Good for him that he is getting a run and understand why he took the deal offered. Would've played 2 or 3 for us, all else being equal.

The Richmond supporters on the main board were telling me that Stanton wouldn't get a game over Houli as Hardwick only plays those that

a) don't miss targets
b) run both ways
c) don't squib a contest

I swear they were winding me up.

I think the biggest inditement on Houli is the absolute silence by Bomber supporters when he got the ball. Normally when a player leaves you for money the crowd gets nasty for a year or two when you play against your old team, remember the carryon for McPhee last year?

When Houli got the ball no one said boo. This shows you he aint missed.

LOL at leaving for money, the guy played bout 12 games in 2 seasons, he went for game time and is getting just that.

He deserves respect IMO, 31 possies in a losing, ugly performance is not the actions of a downhill skier. Still needs to keep improving, but as a Richmond supporter I'm pretty happy with his improvement so far this year. In particular, his shut down abilities have surprised me (his last 2 opponents were subbed off the field).

Houli was a small loss for you in last year's trade period, but he's not a superstar either. Would you prefer to have him as one of your depth players? Sure. There's nothing wrong with saying so, and your club is going fine either way.

Yeah and the week before he lost you the game before it started, swings & roundabouts!

Biggest thing I've ever had against Bach was his w***er fans (both here & Richmond) claiming he was (or would be) elite & was stiffed at the selection table etc etc.
