Hey Blues!

Do you guys think your membership options leave a little bit to be desired?
I wanted to get my mother a Blues membership for mother's day, but seeing as she'd only attend maybe two or three games a year at most, I can't see the point in forking out for an 11 gamer!
Most clubs have a regional membership option, but not Carlton!
Oh wait... there's an option to pay $60 for some Blue membership... and in return you get... well nothing at all really!

Does this frustrate anyone else at all?

Be a good son,
Buy her a full membership.

She will love you more for it.:)

Been saying it for years. Membership doesn't give us value for money, but
the fact that other teams have different options (as illustrated above) compared to our standard offerings, highlights to me the lack of vision within our club.

Agreed, I'm not from Melb and can only get to 1 to 2 matches a year. I pay $64 and really get nothing for it. I keep renewing my membership to support the club during tough times because I love the blues.
I do hope when they get a bit more financially stable, they will consider there interstate supporters for a change and remember who supported them during there troubled times.

If you love the club money shouldnt be an issue.

That's simply a ridiculous statement. The onus is on the football club to entice members by offering a good product as well as being a successfull team on field. Currently, Carlton is doing neither.
All well and good for the die hard fans with deep pockets, but for those who can only attend a few games a year but still want to financially support the club while getting value for money the option should certainly be there.

If this is true, then I am a little disappointed with the way the club is being run in this department. I thought most clubs offered something like 5 game memberships or something like that.

Just another example of where Carlton can lift their game.

Agree with all of this. I live in Adelaide and have been a member for many years. No point getting a full membership as I rarely get to watch the boys play live. I do the right thing by the club and get myself a Blue membership. It used to be that I'd get a hat or something with the membership pack but I don't even get that any more. I didn't look into it too much this year, just signed up again as always and waited patiently for my stuff to arrive. When it turned up in a normal letter sized envelope I knew I was in trouble.

I know the club are trying to save money but they've gotta make it worth getting a membership or people will start dropping off, as has happened this year. I know I'm going to struggle to get one next year just because I've got to justify the expense to the missus. She's a Port fan. It's not a good idea to get her angry. ;)

LOL
My wife didn't follow Aussie Rules and I turned her into a Carlton fan. With such great membership options it turned out to be a good move.

It be interesting to know if it's because of the interstate supporters as to why Carlton's membership has dropped this year.

Carlton should ALWAYS be looking to improve wherever it can.
There is only one time we dont, and thats the week after we have won a premiership and start preparing for the next one.
