They all come into it. Scores are a part, Green showed he was a class above shield too whats the debate there. Green also is a substantially better package with his bowling. We head overseas we don't want Marsh bowling much, he literally bowled 7 overs this series, Green can bowl substantially more as is a POD bowler with his height.
Then you have the fact Bancroft is not helping himself in his interviews, heaven knows why he thought the best thing was to whinge right before selection
Average 33 at test level from 24 matches, statistically significant there. Or does he get time to improve? Oh wait Bancroft doesn't so that should rule out Green with yours and others posts in here.
Bowling from Green? Averages little over 8 overs an innings in his test career thus far. And little more then 1 wicket an innings. Last year average of 56. Let's not pretend like his bowing is a point of difference.
