BASS botch it up again

Got my silver membership pack in the mail on Wednesday, and noticed that memberships are now sent out separately. Not a problem - if all the memberships are sent to the same address at the same time.

However, due to BASS incompetence, this wasn't the case, as we got the first ticket on Wednesday, and the second ticket on Friday. This sent a bit of a panic in our house on Wednesday because we paid for two memberships, yet we only had one ticket. So we promptly rang BASS (who must get customer service tips from Little Britain's Carol Beer - the 'computer says no' travel agent) seeking an explanation, and they gave us the pathetic excuse of 'delays of up to two weeks with concession tickets'.

Once again, this had me wondering whether the SANFL needs to find another ticketing agency (like Ticketek or Ticketmaster) because BASS have done a complete botch up of the memberships (I hear that the SANFL is having to give temporary tickets to some AAMI Stadium members for the NAB cup).

pretty small beer. this isn't the first time you've posted heavily to criticise BASS - is there something else you'd like to share?

I got my first on tuesday and my second on friday.

was really worried they botched it up because the one i eventually got on friday was the ticket that I changed names and seats with.

BASS - eventually getting it right, for most.

Also whats with the lanyards. They have a clip on the end that does nothing and a bit of string which you would normally tie your mobile phone too. Hooking the the string around the plastic is only going to last a few weeks. It will just tear the plastic.

What wrong with these people. They should have keeped the clip system from last year. At least then I can take it out to scan.

Stupid people running the show somewhere. Very stupid.

If I have missed something let me know. I can't believe they have sent this dodgy lanyard with the membership for $280.00

Well all enquries about the tickets are dealt with by BASS. They're the one's that have caused the tickets to be sent out separately. IMO it would be logical to send the memberships to each house in one pack because
a) saves postage
b) better customer satisfaction (people aren't calling up the football line - and waiting 30 minutes for a consultant to chase up missing tickets)

If BASS had done this in the first place, this thread would not exist.

yeh got my 2 tickets a few days apart.

i rang afc after i only got sent 1 ticket and they gave me the brush off about some crap that maybe they stopped midway through and my tix wre the last to be processed for the day... err yeh.. right.

then i found that my other ticket got posted to my old address??? how does that happen when 2 tickets are processed together? they are clowns.

Really pissed about this. They will not last the season. You do not use looped lanyards for ticket holders. They will at some stage simply break thru the plastic. Dumb, Very Dumb choice by the club.

Will be using my 2006 Lanyard for 2007

Not to mention that the 2007 lanyard itself looks cheap and nasty. Given that I paid $280 for my membership, I certainly expected better quality (but given that I've had my season ticket for 10 years, I'm used to the cheap and nasty stuff the club gives its members), and a more professional look.

While I'm at it, I'm always amazed at the poor quality bumper stickers the club uses. In the past couple of years, myne has gotten all faded by the midway point of the season, yet my Centrals membership sticker still looks as fresh as the day I got it.

Last year the lanyard was crap also. I ended up buying a $10 afc one from the AFL shop. Surely Adelaide could have done a deal and got 50k of those most for the members instead of the crap ones they did last year.

I am still waiting for my AAMI stadium Ultimate memberships which I paid on December 10. ( I have already checked my mail for today and they were not there).

When I rang the SANFL to organise temporary tickets for Friday night they said that although they had been assured by BASS that all tickets were sent last Friday they had subsequently found out that they were not all sent and were reassured that they had all been sent by Tuesday.

If they were sent Tuesday I should have mine by now so they are probably still not sent.

If anyone wants to know what happen with the fridge magnet then they are coming with the Magazine.

This year they are a fridge magnet with a little book attached to it and have al the details of the games such as match times etc. hence the reason it is not included in the memership package.

Also the club has recieved many complaints about the lanyards and seem to be very defensive about. I can asure you they will not have the loop system next year, apparenlty some anal AFC ticket holder said he is not going to anymore games as everyone will be talking on their mobiles using the new lanyard all the time

My dad got his gold membership stuff today, but mine hadn't arrived, so he rang them up and was on the phone for an hour. Apparantly bass lost my form, so it was lucky that no one bought my seat

I wonder how many more people have had this done to them by BASS. No wonder the Entertainment Centre gave them the flick a couple of years ago, and I implore AAMI Stadium to do the same.
