good to see the tribunal not going over the top. The hit was head-high, but only marginally late. 1 week was about right for mine

As much as there was with his chest. It was front on. To deny it is just being ignorant. It was front on, late and he did collect his chin as well.

Under the current rules it deserved a suspension. Its no different to what Shaun Burgoyne delivered to Bassett in a showdown a few years ago. Back then that wasn't even considered a free kick just a good bump. Now days is worth a suspension.

In my opinion Bass went in for the smother was late, point of contact was shoulder to shoulder/chest and not high. (If it was an experienced player he would have protected himself better and taken the hit better as well.) Was worth a free kick and that is all. There was a hell of alot more front on contact in the Ball/Whelan bump and yet Whelan got off... as he should have.

What Bassett did was not worth 225 points!
