I don't know why, but id have to say Battrick. I played both for quite some time, but managed to lose interest in FTP a heck of alot earlier. I've got another FTP team now, but i only log in once or twice a fortnight. I still play Battrick

Played BT since season 4, and FTP since the start.

No longer pay any attention to BT.

Really cant be bothered getting into an argument over the two, but I'd suggest trying FTP, it's different, so if you're getting bored of BT...

Explain.

I wish to know how it's different from Battrick having never played it.

battrick is better, for some reason i lost interest in FTP pretty quickly, but then i lost interest in battrick when the footy season started, but ive started BT again, it sucks starting with a new team:(

Well, for one there's a lot more variables, I hate how in BT you know when every pop will occur. Basically every Monday and Thursday I log on not having a clue if I'll have 10 pops or 0.

You got a youth squad, and a youth league. A senior squad. There's 3 leagues: T20, Senior One Day and Youth One Day. No play offs, top teams promote and bottom 2 teams relegate.

You pull a player every week and unlike BT you dont get 3 decent pulls and 15 worthless' a season. It depends how much you invest, and each week you make a pull with the same chance of getting a gun. Also by investing you get quicker pops.

Theres things like talents, which make players pop faster, or various triggers. Like Boundary Hitter and Swing/Wrongun which trigger during matches. Or a particular skill is better for them without showing it.

And it's a little more unpredictable in terms of who wins. Theres a lot more upsets.

You can view your whole squad on one page (I hated this at first, but grown to like it)

It's really small for some reason...

Also FTP's still young, if you get in you got a decent chance of getting somewhere, which is the only reason I joined at the start. But now it's turned ito a game I really enjoy, and a lot more than BT.

I blame my frendly comp in BT being closed down for me losing interest in it though... Had 50k posts and was an awesome league.

FTP is more on the in depth side of things where you have to spend a lot of time getting your side sorted. BT is more for the occassional users, doesn't require you to log on as often. Once you have a training plan sorted your nets are done and all you have to do after the first 3 weeks is pick your side and maybe buy some players.

I also play blackoutrugby which looks pretty similar to FTP so going by my knowledge of that game it gets really annoying how the report summary doesn't really improve and upsets occur so often. There are just too many variables in it to really get me hooked. In BT you basically know where your team is at and what you need to do to improve to beat the team the next time.

Moving from BT to FTP is very tricky especially if you haven't lost interest in BT. Managing two different cricket team is just way too time consuming and not as much motivation. For that reason I never got hooked into FTP.
