Dayne Beams and John McCarthy have been cleared off any wrongdoing involving the incident that occurred after the Grand Final win.

Premiership player Dayne Beams and emergency John McCarthy were interviewed after the alleged sexual assault of a woman at a South Melbourne townhouse less than 10 hours after the Magpies' triumph.
The Herald Sun has learned there will be no police action against the pair.

To what, has never been made clear. They could have been witnesses to the alleged offender talking to the girl at the night club or getting into a taxi.

You just make the assumption that where there is smoke, or in this case innuendo, there is fire and that the term witness somehow links them to the deeds. I have witnesed many things, such as posters going off half cocked and uninformed over many issues but bearing witness to this did not and does not in any way tar me with the same brush nor implicate me as an accomplice in said carry-on now does it.

A witness to a crime or any event is that and soley that. An accomplice seems to be what you insinuate, which obviously is not the case or the Police would have charged both.
