ARG! Get rid of Doug Mulrey - he looks like a bikie and is a worse host than Stan was. The show just doesn't seem the same without Stan and Jeannie "Dahhhhling" Little's spats/lovers tiffs.

Is the show on for borrowed time or will they pick up new audience with a new host in 2002?

I couldn't stand Stan, but if I happened to turn it on, I used to end up watching it, just because I was completely disgusted, and couldn't turn away. Doug Mulray, I don't pay attention to because he says nothing, and just agrees with everyone trying to be nice. I can see him losing that show a lot of the audience. As much as I hate to say it, at least Stan said something, even if it did infuriate me no end. I think that was the point.

You hit the nail right on the head.

I think that was the strong point of having Stan on the show, hating him made you watch it coz you wanted to know what stupid thing he would say next.

Docker_Brat, probably be bribed Ten - give me this job otherwise I'll start up the Doug Mulrey show again. :o

2 words on Doug Mulrey: White Trash.

Fair enough if you don't like him or his brand of comedy, but "moron" is going a bit far. I would put it to you that he is one of the most intelligent people on tv.

Exactly.

But "intelligence" seems to mean nothing when you have toilet humour. (and the "ability" to disagree with anything anybody says, regardless of what is being said.)

Stan's an ignorant, arrogant wannker. Hopefully he'll be back on his arse soon like he was a few years ago. And i'll be lining up to be one of the first to tell him to "stop being a bludger", "get off your arse and do something", "stress does not exist - what the hell are you on about?" etc etc etc.

This planet would be a far better place without people like him. Whether it's an act or not, i couldn't give a toss. He should be living on the streets with the homeless and the drug addicts - those he despises so much, yet has refused to ever help - despite his position for a few years as the host of a television show that discussed their very problems. Good riddance.

Well put.

Glad to see him go. But now we have him in Melbourne on talk radio.

I heard his departure was something to do with an episode with Sara-Marie from Big Brother, he complained that she was too fat and should lose weight. Apparently after that episode they received a lot of negative feedback and Channel Ten decided to replace him, who knows maybe that was the final straw, he might have been pushing it beforehand

Dougie's alright though it's been boring sometimes compared to Stan, he comes up with a few good lines, I don't miss Stan's rants and raves, Doug DOES need a haircut though!

Not that I watch the show, but Doug Mulray has ALWAYS been a complete waste of space.
About as funny as cancer.

What a crappy show!

I can't believe you sitting around watching that mindless program on channel ten. I am sure that u have better things to do than watching that crap.

Im sure that it was that horrible rat looking woman Jeanne Little that said that.

Yeah, Doug is pathetic. Stan was fantastic and always gave me a laugh. Doug just sits there and says stuff like 'If I could just get my point across for a few seconds.'

Come on Dougie! Spice it up!
I used to love it, now I won't even watch it.

The thing about "Beauty and the Beast" was that it was hosted by opinonated pricks (like Clive Robertson, Rex Mossop, Derryn Hinch, John Laws etc.), but Doug Mulray is hopeless, he's too nice, the only thing that was interesting about that show was the fights and the name calling, now that's gone and the show has nosedived ever since.
