We aren't interested in Kerr why would we want Cousins, the player they are interested in at Carlton is Warnock. l have heard Walker's name being mooted as trade bait but l wasn't sure if it was for Warnock or another player.

Our MO for some time now has been to recruit guys into the club who have come from good homes and are pretty good people. The "older" guys coming to the club wouldn't be any older than 24/25, as Carlton wants to get 100 games out of them.

Cousins does not fit into either of these catergories, and therefore, WILL NOT be at Carlton next year.

No way, no how do I want Cousins at Carlton. We have a lot of kids and they need a positive influence at the club. Cousins might be a great player but he has shown off the field he is a junkie and does not want to change. I think our kids are doing well leaning from Judd etc we don't need Cousins.

About a month or two ago Ratten said that Carlton would not be going after Cousins so unless the club's attitude towards him has changed i doubt we will see Cousins in the Navy Blue.

I would have thought Carlton took that stance while they were building the young team for a good hard dip at finals action. You would think that the "build" is now pretty much done and now its serious finals football (from 2009). Adding Cousins for the next 2 years would be a great option for a team like Carlton who in my opinion will seriously have a go at the flag in 2010.

You would think wrong. Many of the pieces are in place, but ruck and second forward are still open and our flag chance won't be for another 3 years min until these roles are filled and our depth improves.

Cousins is poison. The potential damage he could do to a young Gibbs, Murph, Grigg......and so on, vs the upside of..........what, a 30 y.o. that won't have played for 18 months.

Juddy and Cousins are pretty good mates.

Whilst I rated Cousins as the best midfielder in the AFL two years back, his off field issues, plus effectively 2 years out of the game (coupled with age), makes it a definite pass.

Pretty much. These threads are pretty much just taking up space if there are no concrete sources. Murmurs = another BF thread somewhere or mates discussing it at a pub.

None of these stories are ever talked about by people in and around Carlton. They are 2 people we do not need at our club. We already have people who think they are the most important thing going aroung and we do not need to waste big money on anymore. They may be good boys in the future but the bring the microscope down on us even more than we have now. Concentrate on the youth coming through. Save the dollars for people like Gibbs and Ellard who will deliver a premiership!
