Every Premiership year has a symbol of what made it special. In 2010 it was Ben Johnson for me. He symbolised the player that was never the most talented but always put in 100%. He was the symbol for the 2002/2003 players who got so close but didn't get to win it. He was the symbol of every Collingwood supporter who dreamed as a kid that one day they would play for the club they love.

I actually think he is one of our 15 most important players at this point, especially. watching Simon Buckley.

I just really hope he doesn't go 1 year too long but it is totally his decision.

I am probably the worst person to ask as i am very pro johnno and anti Buckley.

If johnno plays on, buckley may be delisted. Just terrible skills under any pressure and appears very soft at the contest.Marley is providing a lot more than Simon buckley imo.

I'd take Johnno for 12 months over 5 years of Buckley- especially if it helps cap space. Johnno, Swan and Tarrant are good mates- keeps them together for another 12 months. If need be we can move Paine/Goldsack back and play Krak/Caff/Paine forward.

If we r that tight, saving 50k here on johnno over him could be handy. He'll always be looking for an increase with each contract. If we we keep johnno, delist Buckley and pick up a kid from the draft that's an extra 150k we'll save that can be shared between beams, Reid, wellers and goldy
