Sad news. looks possible that he could be out for the season or not but he will be out for a while.

Hopefully we hear some good news about this in the next couple days but i have doubts..

Looks like maybe simon buckley will have a spot in the team now.

Very bad news. Was playing very good footy today. Hope it's not as bad as first thought, make a speedy recovery mate.

Obree in for him, not Buckley. Need to win some bloody clearances.

Looked an ACL to me.

At best, a torn medial (4 to 6 weeks) or cartilage (could need a quick clean up op-few weeks).

What's he done?

Twisted his knee when he kicked and was brought down in a tackle. Doesnt look good. we really missed him today. Was absolutely killing it with 14 possessions half way though the 2nd.

Commentators made reference to his knee cap being off. Hopefully just dislocated but didn't look good the way he came off the ground. Poor BJ especially after last year. Never has had a chance to prove himself after those calls by Eddie in his 2008 season that he was overweight and unfit. Ok well maybe that adelaide EF :) he is a clear best 22 regardless if the haters like it or not.

That article was crap. Made it sound very bad when in fact they had no information except for hearsay from the radio LOL pathetic journalism
yeah no shit lol pretty quick to get that on the website tho :p

Hope he's ok hope you guys are right with the dislocated knee cap call being 4-6 weeks..

We won't know the full extent of the injury till tomorrow at earliest, and maybe even till Tuesday due to the Easter holidays.

It is actually a good sign that they were icing it though, because when you do your ACL, they basically "give up" and just chuck you on crutches.

Likely to be a medial ligament, meaning 6-8 weeks, but that's not for sure either'

Will have to wait.

Goldsacks big chance anyway.

Mcarthy (if O'bree doesn't get up)?
So much back up we have.
o'bree can some in for sidebottom. saints are a big team and sidey is tiny.
we'll need a tagger on a hayes or montagna.
bring dawes in too.

but we need a new thread for this lol

Bummer for him, boon for someone else. From a purely analytical standpoint, he was probably the best player in our 22 to lose.

Or rather, our worst player in the 22? I've confused myself.

I hope the Johnno haters regret their harsh words, but unfortunately they are going to see their wishes fulfilled. The crap that was spewed forth regarding Johnson's skills and courage will now come to an end, at the expense of his season. Johnson played well today when his team mates complacently figured they only had to be there to win. We have lost a good player.

He was ranked number 1 in our team when he went off with 14 possessions. You can stick your 'worst player' reference up your orifice as far as his most recent performance is concerned.

Yeah fair call, shouldn't have said 'worst player', I more meant 'most expendable'. We have players who can step up and fill his role, or at least more so than other positions on the ground.

good luck to him and his recovery hope its not an acl, always bad to see a player go down with a season ending injury

Good news, its not an ACL, its just a 6 or so week injury. He will be back this year.
