Has anyone heard him talk about Smilie? Thought this hamstring was only a slight strain I think it was before Xmas, but seemingly looks a lot worse as still listed 1-2 weeks. Get it's the long approach I'm just keen to see him play.

As far as I’m aware, they’ve just been mega conservative with him. It was a very minor injury but unfortunately showed it wasn’t healing as well as what they would have hoped.

As frustrating as it is, it’s the correct approach. These kids are going to play 10-15 incredible years of football and the first season is the hardest as their bodies and still growing and adapting to the requirements needed to get through a season. Cripps played 3 games in his debut season.

Looks to be in full training they’re just being ultra cautious

Looking at Gibcus then very much agree.

First time in years we’ve had 2 consecutive weeks without injuries.
Only 3 short term injuries other than acls.
Most important recruit in years!

Hammys with teenagers doesn’t go and is unacceptable, they’re old man injuries , what gives
Is it possible that high performance coaches or experts are no good. From where did they come? Before they existed there were the odd hamstring and very few were long term. Perhaps they over do theoretical activities that theoretically reduce strain on the soft tissues but realistically they promote not only soft tissue injury (from repetitive overuse) but also their own job. May be they are no good. Back to basics? (From a long time ago AFL doc)!!!

Hammies to the first year players is one thing, Ralph smith doing a hammy is a surprise.
If we get a few more first time hammies this year that’s a worry
Isn't that Hugos second this year? Did one in the WC praccy

Nah, overloading can show itself later on with juniors.
I know what you mean but these kids have just played and played last two years grown and have tried to bulk up.
Lalor is a heavy guy overloading at the start of the season scan show up later on.

Pre-seasons are shorter now and shorter again for draftees.

There’s something not right about Lalor’s hammy, damage on the tendon, scar tissue or something.
They must’ve picked up on it and chose not to operate and tried to give it more conditioning.
But looks like an op is on the cards
