Interesting to see him in the Best, Sounds like he had a Really Good Game.

This was said in the Chat:
Ben Sinclair, who has been very clean in the wet all day, takes the ball from a throw-in and kicks his first major!!
Ben Sinclair looks good in his first senior game - very aggressive and courageous
Sounds like he is Very Clean with he Ball and Is a very Hard at the Ball

Won't be Surprised if we seem him sometime this season - Especially if it's Raining;)

doubtful... there are about 7 players to come in which means 7 are going to have to be dropped. And when the real stuff starts, there is only 22 spots and not 26

Mick is standing next to me and believes Ben Sinclair has a great first touch and not scared to put his head over the ball. Malthouse says he is not afraid to create his own play.

Well that is good to hear about Benny. Sounds like he is a Mick Favorite:eek: already

Dave, you have already called that Josh Thomas will debut as well and Blight, based on glimpses of form in other meaningless matches. Blair would be ahead of Sinclair as well.

We can't play everyone. I strongly doubt he will play this year.

*sniff*

*Makes Ablett captain of the SuperCoach team instead of Josh Thomas*

Is Sinclair the bloke we took around 60 and claimed we would have taken at 30 if not for Ball?

I have absolutely no idea about him but, if Mick likes him, he does well in the twos and he has some size, he'll probably play at some stage.

That's the One

Might play 2 -3 games this year wouldnt expect any more then that if he is good enough to warrant more then thats awesome news for Pies

What are you basing this on?
Stupid statement.
He has received praise from a lot of the players and coaching staff.
To me this indicates he is ready for AFL and should play at the expense of a current player in the team not pulling their weight.

I'd be very surprised if he debuted this year. Based purely on the number of guys he would have to be behind at this point.

As has been said, roughly 7 players would need to fall over for him to debut.

No need to debut him this year. Put some weight on and get him used to playing against men at a less intense level.

I'll hold my judgment on Sinclair and how many senior games (if any) he will get this year.

I will wait until I have seen him live in person, either at a Senior practice match or a VFL game when the VFL season starts.

Good start to him, but the conditions may have suited him also, and we are unlikely to see those extreme conditions throughout the season again.

You have to remember even Steele Sidebottom only had 11 games last year (8 home and away) and he was more highly rated then Sinclair.

I'm basing this on the fact that thats all most 1st year players ever seem to get unless absoulute guns plus the fact he is trying to break into a strong side makes it even harder to get a game ala St Kilda last year who had no debut players. So hardly believe it is stupid see who is right come end of year how many are your predicting DSwan? I wouldnt read to much into a NAB cup game where we had lots of players out played against a 2nd rate Adelaide side who also had a lot of players out

If Mick thinks there good enough then he will play them

It's obviously a good thing that he put in a good run in the practice match but that's all it is a glorified practice match I wouldn't be trying to read to much into it. I do however like the skills that he is being rated for so it will be good to see how he goes at VFL level during the year.

I think we have to temper the hype a little. High pick in a weak draft and a very immature body. I reckon he'll take time if he makes it. Happy to be wrong but there are many in front of him. I just hate to see people start bagging kids early cos they've bought into a player being an immediate star, and they don't live up to the expectations in the first couple of years.

Nope.

Won't play this year IMHO.
