Was having a chat with my dad this morning, he's friends with members of the Sinclair family.

Apparently Benny's leg injury hasn't come up and he's been delisted by the club. Info I have is that he's personally devastated and wanted to play on.

A great shame if true. I really rated his attack on the man and the ball and would have loved to see him get an uninterrupted crack at it.

Sad if true. I'll always remember his first goal... An easy over the top passed to him by Dane Swan.

Sad if true for him.
Or when it becomes true.

One thing though, someone says something to someone, a bit of mayo here and there, then we get the news.

Great shame as his injuries cruelled him.

I suspect as time goes on he'll become an even better player.

Shame, he had a lot of heart and a few really elite attributes. Given his concussion history, I’m surprised he even played on in 2017 however. Best of luck to him.

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to have a career cut short by things outside your control. All the years spent trying to get the body right would feel like an exercise in futility.

If true I wish the Ben all the best with whatever his next journey will be.

Hasn’t come up? Did he lose it in a motorbike accident?

Mixture of leg injuries and concussion has done Benny in unfortunately. You have to consider the long term effects also. What type of life he would have when he's 45-50 years old if he got another concussion or two.

Real shame this. Sinclair was so under rated on here. Was just coming into his own (before injuries) and giving us that run off half back we had missed since Shaw and Davis left.

There goes the only speed out of our backline, another monumental stuff up by the list management team to leave us with only Ramsay and Smith, who are both off contract and could still be delisted

Virtually ensures taking Coffield and hoping someone like Richards falls to 38... we'll take care of the key positions next year I guess

Bad luck Sinkers, a few of his last games really highlighted how good he could have been, he had fixed up his disposal, was surprisingly strong in the air and against opponents, and could get to every contest as well as being that line breaker off half back with his speed

You can't lose what isn't on the park:p

Applies to all 3 players (Sinkers Smith Ramsay) for a variety of reasons and has murdered us, maybe it's how we should use Wells and Varcoe, oh wait they don't get on the park either :(

I hate the concussion injuries, and for players who seem especially susceptible, or who through bad luck have a lot of these injuries, they really shouldn’t risk it. It’s just too dangerous, and we still don’t know enough about the long term consequences.

Good luck to Ben in his future endeavours.

If he is being delisted it's hard to see him becoming a better player as time goes on.

Never was a Big Fan of Sinclair. Disposable was to IFFY for me

He gave it his best shot but hamstring and concussion problems effectively ended his career. While he feels devastated that his AFL career has most likely ended, realistically he was never much of a chance to extend his career beyond this year due to his injury concerns.
