A few days on the main board, I posted (copied below) what I thought would be our best ever team since the existance of the Crows.
What are other posters thoughts?
I'm sure I have missed someone obvious...
B: Hart, Rutten, Bassett
HB: Smart, Caven, Bickley (c)
C: Johnson, Ricciuto (vc), Goodwin
HF: D Jarman, M Stevens, Welsh
F: Edwards, Modra, Vardy
R: Rehn, McDermott, McLeod
I: Pittman, Robran, Burton, McGuinness
Klug could have been our best CHF, but alas he didn't play enough games to qualify for me.

I've got Mickan and A Jarman for Pittman and Welsh
I think one game should be enough to qualify, but it would have to be a bloody good pig!![]()
Who are you using that theory to squeeze onto the bench - Adam Saliba or Shane Tongerie?![]()
Klug is CHF & IMO Stevens & Robran deserve selection ahead of him,Compare Klug to Welsh for effort and effect per game played. No contest.

I cant think of anyone left out in Kane's team, maybe Liptak or A Jarman. Bit surprised that Scotty Welsh would get a game ahead of Liptak in his prime. And i agree with whoever said Clarke should be back up ruckman - maybe Pitto could slot in across the Half Back line, but who would miss out? Best coach is obviously out of Blighty or Neil Craig...

He's out injured. Hamstring strain. 2-3 weeks. How are you all missing Liptak?
What was it you didn't like about him? The quick, deft handballs? The almost ingenius work in traffic? His ball-winning ability? The sublime clearance work? The exceptional ball handling? His lightning quick tackles in close? Yep, he stunk alright. The great tragedy about Andrew Jarman's career was that he was coached by Graham Cornes and Robert Shaw, neither of whom recognised genius when they saw it.A.Jarman would not even be a travelling emg in my side no time for him as a player what so ever.
Obviously not that many games but would be pushing for a spot ahead of either McGuinness or McDermott?Would Scott Thompson be close?
A.Jarman would not even be a travelling emg in my side no time for him as a player what so ever.
I could understand an argument for his exclusion based on perceptions of his behaviour pertaining to off-field issues, such as the time he declared himself unfit and refused to play despite being named and his alleged role in the player revolt that apparently contributed to Cornes' demise,
But purely as a player?
Arguably the most talented hands in the history of the game, ball magnet, renowned big game player and knew where the goals were.
His 110 games might be surpassed when this sort of task is revisited in 10 years, but his record is still good enough for at least the bench today.
No contest for the coach M.Blight

We got absolutely pantsed in that second half. Jarman's miss was criminal but the fact that Cornes always harps on about this miss and ignores the plethora of other errors and mistakes (both by coach and players) says plenty about him as a person.Funny the great tragedy for Cornes was Jarman's missed shot in the 93' prelim. Had he put that through the argument for coach of this great side would not be between Craig and Blight.

- Rocca's infamous point (or was it a goal?) vs Brisbane
- Libba jumps into his teammates arms to celebrate... a behind vs us
- The Wayne Harms out of bounds vs Collingwood
People prefer to blame these one-off incidents rather than explore the much scarier option that perhaps they weren't good enough or could have done more.
Interested to see your team DT.

CHF is interesting with Stevens Klug and Robran being mentioned. On ability I would say Klug, but on output you'd have to go with Robran.
