paul williams went to sydney as part of the clement/holland deal if i'm not mistaken.

That has to be one of the best trades - if not the best- that collingwood's ever been a part of

Yeah it's good seeing Collingwood give players away only to see them '
play in a premiership!! :D

Broderick, Gale, Elliot, Dundas for Jeff Hogg

even if it was basically Broderick, Gale for Hoggy

Leon Cameron to Richmond for their 3rd and 5th round draft picks in 1999. Leon played 3 quality years at Punt Rd. The 2 picks the Bulldogs got were Mitch Hahn and Ryan Hargrave, who will both be 200+ gamers each. Winners all round.

The much maligned Eagleton trade in 1999 has also ultimately been an excellent trade all round. Eagle and pick 35 were exchanged for Monty and Powell. Eagle will have given 200+ games service to the Dogs by the time he finishes up (still has another 5 years left at least). Monty gave great service to Port, with a B&F and a premiership. Powell was solid, if a little injury-prone, at Melbourne. As for pick 35, the less said about Patrick Wiggins, the better :o

John Pitura (South Melbourne) to Richmond for Graham Teasdale, Francis Jackson and Brian Roberts. Pitura was a dud at Richmond, Teasdale won the Brownlow at South, Jackson gave years of good service and Roberts had one (I think) good year and then quit.

Salmon for Wellman and Barnard?? or Barnes for Denham?
Is success based on good players for the team or flags?
Golden rule:YOU GET NOTHING FOR NOTHING!!
Martin Pike was the lucky journey man that got a few flags, he was swapped for a few scanlens footy cards.... :thumbsd:
so you bombed out
bring back John Fidge what did the bombers get for him''OI''

From last year's trade deals, I reckon the Nathan Thompson trade to the Roos in exchange for 1st and 2nd round picks will turn out to be a winner for both clubs, as the Hawks up-graded their pick from the Roos thanks to the Pies and picked Jordan Lewis, who looked very good in his first season, while Thompson kicked 50 goals for the Roos.
