Who is the better player (as of right now)?

I think Collins is far better than the turnover merchant. A summary of the trades:

Out: Tambling
In: Late 1st round pick, pick 50

This was despite Tambling walking out on us.

Out: Collins
In: Grigg

This is despite Grigg walking out on Carlton and us having pick 2 in the PSD.

How on Earth did that happen?

Grigg is a very good player and will toughen up your midfield, hopefully your coach has a gameplan for him as he can be a bit of a cowboy at times.

He will work well with players like Nahas, Jake King and and your other forward, not Rewoldt, the other cowboy bloke you have down there.

He is more robust player than nahas and king, played in 8 games and was in our best for 3, one of them the final against Swans so he definitely isn't a ******** receiver and can turn it on under pressure. Stupid Ratten seemed to think he could do a Malthouse on Grigg and make him earn his spot while he gave games to hack try-hards like mclean, hadley and johnson, that's why grigg left.

Anyway personally I think Grigg is better than Collins and we have saved the PSD pick for Houli who I am really keen on. Obviously this shows that we couldn't come to an agreement with the Dons and we will take Houli on the free.
