He is legitimately the worst coach in the AFL. Not even a knee-jerk because I've had this opinion since the loss to Carlton.

What kind of moron is so insistent on not playing a ruckman in an era where the ruck battle is more important than ever? What kind of moron has a guy like Josh Dunkley rucking for 70% of a game?

In 2016, the stars aligned: everything went right for us, and the cherry on top was the old ruck rules, which prevented us from being punished by Beveridge's stupidity too hard.

Now that he won a flag, we're stuck with him. We've already signed him up long term, and he has free reign to keep coaching like an idiot for the next 4 years. At least with Hawthorn, Clarko probably won't be there much longer. Meanwhile we're stuck with the worst coach in the AFL during a period we might have the best list we've ever had. Just sad.

What form team? They were having trouble keeping up with the Crows at times last round. Geelong are an old and busted team, and we'd won 2 of our last 3 games against them. On top of that, no Selwood or Ablett.

If our idiot coach respected the ruck position, it's literally an easy win. But why would he respect the ruck role now when he hasn't for the last 5 years? He's a dead set muppet that's set in his delusional ways.

I was a fan of bevo but

1) I rate English highly but picking him when he is clearly suffering from exhaustion the last few weeks is dumb. Even dumber not giving him proper help in the ruck.

2) And then picking Gardiner who is one of the worst decision makers and also has no marking ability or leg speed... why is he there? Do we just pick people based on how tall they are?!?

3) Not getting games to young guys like Lewis Butler and Lachie Young who have shown promise over Gardiner. Surely they could make the same mistakes and be given the same excuses for Gardiner: “he’s still developing huh dur”

4) Playing favourites with selection. Who we select directly impacts our style of play and how we develop as a team. It doesn’t matter is Caleb is a “smart player”, if he has to kick it to someone who is well below average to butcher it, then that play means absolutely moot.

5) Bevo + other senior heads now care more about being right rather than showing some humility and fixing their mistakes.

Whatever changes they make now are moot for the season. He will probably make the required changes because the MO of the club for the last four years is be too little too late.

You realize we were falling apart before we went down to 2 on the bench right?

It's simple: put a good coach in charge, and we're at least competitive in the ruck most games. Put Beveridge in charge, and we have Josh Dunkley as our #1 ruck. The kid is one of the best inside mids in the comp, and the idiot coach pisses away all his talent by making him play ruck.

Wait a sec. Bev just said we had focus on danger in the second half. Correct me if I'm wrong but I seen Macrae on danger at most stoppages. So in the second half Macrae had less impact as he was minding danger, take away Dunkley for the whole game trying to ruck. That's 2 gun mids not doing what they do best. Wow

Being brave is one thing, having game nous is another. If you're not going to mark the ball, at very least neutralize the contest instead of pissing away an advantageous position and giving up an easy goal.
