I am a supporter of bevs but a loss today and the noise becomes real given the team selection

What form team? They were having trouble keeping up with the Crows at times last round. Geelong are an old and busted team, and we'd won 2 of our last 3 games against them. On top of that, no Selwood or Ablett.Bevo stays. We're still in the running and went toe to toe with the in form team of the comp. No melting from me.
Is that the excuse for blowing a 6 goal qtr time lead?Lol nearly beat probably the best side in it with two on the bench.

If our idiot coach respected the ruck position, it's literally an easy win. But why would he respect the ruck role now when he hasn't for the last 5 years? He's a dead set muppet that's set in his delusional ways.
Were you not paying attention tonight? Did you somehow miss the fact that Geelong were getting hitouts to advantage all night? Did it not occur to you that this has been a problem for us all year? Or for all of the last 3 years? The form team being the one on top of the ladder maybe? Telling me a single position is what determines if we win or lose? Would a second ruckman have helped in Rd 1 against Collingwood? We rise and fall as a team, not off the back of a single player or position. Maybe not having a second ruckman tonight allowed us to stay in it as long as we did noting we lost two non-ruckman? Do all the teams in the bottom half of the ladder respect the ruck? Why are they below us?
There are better arguments than focussing on the 'Bevo doesn't respect the ruck' line.

Geelong are on top of the ladder because they're consistent, and don't have an idiot coach stridently enforcing stupid, unreliable matchday tactics. You ever see Chris Scott waste the talents of Dangerfield or Selwood by playing them in the ruck? Nope.
Who cares about winning clearances if they're sh*t clearances? Between having a guy like Naitanui palming it down a midfielder's throat, and scrapping for the ball as much as possible to get a kick forward, what do you think is more likely to result in a goal?Have we won the hitouts to advantage at all this year? Yet we still win the clearances more often than not...

You realize we were falling apart before we went down to 2 on the bench right?
It's simple: put a good coach in charge, and we're at least competitive in the ruck most games. Put Beveridge in charge, and we have Josh Dunkley as our #1 ruck. The kid is one of the best inside mids in the comp, and the idiot coach pisses away all his talent by making him play ruck.
What do you mean always going to clamp is down? They only won by a couple of kicks in the end. If Johannisen and Bruce weren't useless shits, if Crozier didn't single handedly give Geelong 2 free goals, if our coach wasn't an idiot and played a ruckman, then we're effectively a certainty to win that game. Instead, we're a permanent enigma, we will never be consistent.Geelong were always going to eventually clamp us down. They’re extremely good at it. Yes I agree with you big time on Dunkley but Bevo clearly has zero interest in debuting sweet and playing Trengove. If its still happening in 2021 and we havent recruited a ruck I’ll be on Board but I saw too many good things tonight.

I'm board? What do you mean on board? You really think it matters? He's re-signed for the next 4 years. We're stuck with him.
It wasn't really a dig, but he was direct responsible for two easy goals with two crucial dropped marks.Yeah sorry you lost me at Crozier. I’ll never have a dig at any dogs players going back with the flight of the ball.

Being brave is one thing, having game nous is another. If you're not going to mark the ball, at very least neutralize the contest instead of pissing away an advantageous position and giving up an easy goal.Yeah going back with the flight into tom Hawkins which many wouldn’t do. He’s held onto more than he’s dropped.
