I seem to remember an all out release (PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, PC).
Almost 100% sure it was just PS3, XBOX 360 and PC(Remember Midori's rant about why it isn't on the Wii), 5 platforms would just be an insane amount for the devs to work on, both old-gen and next-gen systems, they aren't a huge company(And they state on their site that they have multiple teams working on multiple games, so that takes even more man power away from their team) and that would be just way to much work, and in the end the overall quality would dip massively, even more than we would expect from an AFL game.

I'd really like to see a really in-depth, highly detailed AFL game, but I don't see it happening.
That won't happen unless there is a big publisher backing the game, there just wouldn't be enough of a budget to make it absolutely beautiful, especially with the whole 36 players on the field at once element.
Although, I would really like the developers to just focus on making the gameplay as best as possible, making it enjoyable and immersive.
Gameplay needs to be the first and major focus, as long as the gameplay works well and is as realistic as possible, the graphics won't even matter.
Online play would be great too.
I'd actually like to know how this went in AFL 2004(Which was the only AFL game so far to have online play), it could probably be easily implemented if they use the same system as they did before.

Personally though I'd take a BAP mode before online.
