O

Our next shield game ends 12 days before first ODI and the One days cup final is is 8 days before.

I’m hoping Bison/Richo/Agar/Stoin/Inglis are all available for that. Bit risk with a few coming back from injury but gee whiz thats an elite line up

Philippe
Inglis (wk)
M.Marsh
Short
Stoinis
Turner (c)
Agar
Richo
Paris
Behrendorff
Kelly

Last ODI in India is the day before the Shield Final. Be interesting which (if any) players they release to play in it.

Think we would still go ok without, but much better to have Richo, inglis, MM, Green, Stoinis and Agar available. At a minimum would want Richo and Inglis released. The rest would be nice to have, but could understand if they stayed in India.

If that's the Shield side, Stoinis is gone and Morris back, probably for Stobbo.

Maybe Turner or Short for Stoinis with Swampy opening.

Last match with the second XI Turner scored 170 and was dismissed on a laughably bad lbw decision

He also took 4/41 in 15 overs with the ball in South Australia’s first innings. On pitches where seamers will dominate (like the WACA) I’d actually prefer them to play Turner over Rocchiccioli, who is mostly just used to clean up the tail when they’re slogging. Turner would make the batting lineup really deep, and he’s posted some really big scores in the second XI and in grade cricket this summer.

This Bazball is quite a thing. They were 3-21, but that's merely a flesh wound. The Ashes will be a cracking series.

I reckon they basically treat tests as 50 over one dayers. If the innings goes for longer then great. But otherwise, why treat them differently?

If Bazball gets going I don't see our bowlers handling the pressure at all. Especially over there.
NZ’s bowlers are a nowhere near as threatening once the ball stops moving though, especially with Boult not playing. Wagner’s short barrage has been completely dismantled and that’s ruined their plan B.

Who else have they beaten? Pakistan sans Shaheen Shah Afridi on roads.

I think it’s pretty irrepressible stuff but can’t see Australia getting smashed like NZ
