We all take the piss out of the BBL for having club cricketers and etc but the fact some have either gone on to make a career of themselves or having some success at that level should probably highlight how strong our club cricket is. Doubt many countries have that strong of club scene.

He's a jet white ball bowler.

Not sure about the red ball stuff.
I'm not sure if he's played Shield at all.

What Tugga said. Also Johnsons played a combined 11 list A/first class games and way to premature to be called as a red ball players.

On Morris I too was disappointed that his speed at times was down but he’s had spells where he was around the 145kph. Like someone said previously he is holding back at times as he has gone for a lot of runs in previous seasons when he has tried to bowl out and out pace.

On Johnson it’s time he really starts playing a lot more redball cricket, as Impressive as he has been he’ll be 29 when next summer rolls arounds.

We'll have retention rights on him in the draft so if he plays BBL itll be for us

Is it still a very good bowling attack though? A lot will depend on whether Richardson can get back to his best and what we do with Agar

I play with a guy who used to captain Spencer Johnson in district cricket when he was younger. He says he was the most frustrating player he'd ever captained - all the talent but you never knew if he'd bowl at 140 or 110, just depended what mood he was in that day.

Definitely explains why he's taken so long just to reach his current level.

Scorchers post mortem;

1. Someone buggered up our salary cap. How the hell was Bancroft allowed to leave?
2. If the answer to 1. is we signed Cam Green who then withdraw from the tournament then that is more than frustrating. I heard a story that when the WA Shield team were in Brisbane recently Voges stayed behind in Perth because he was left scrambling to fill out our roster.
3. Not enough from our big money import Crawley. Contributed to the worst opening combinations in Scorcher history. Connolly experiment failed, Whiteman has never been a T20 player, Eskinazi is just garbage (couldn't believe we re-signed him)
4. Turner. Absolute gut punch to lose him. Got us out jail a few times last season. His leadership was arguably even more important.
5. Richardson. Give it up mate you're cooked. The Liam Ryan of WA cricket. Get Paris back for the Scorchers. Give Haskett a run in red ball cricket.
6. Agar. Speaking of cooked this bloke was playing white ball cricket for Australia a few months ago and now gets tonked by park cricketers. Someone on here mentioned we desperately needed a legspinner. Touche. I think we're gonna have to poach one.
7. Evans. Our best player. This has been mentioned before but why the * do you sign someone who then has to leave right at the business end of the tournament?
8. Morris. What the hell happened in the last couple of games?
9. Gonna soon need a replacement for Tye, who's still decent but about 53 years old. Hopefully Matt Kelly is over his injuries.
10. Connolly (batting down the order) gives me some hope for the future. Learned a few tough lessons this season but will be better for it.

Yes
A fit Richo makes us a lot better.
Connolly is a better version of Agar.
Matthew Kelly if fit will be a bonus also.
McKenzie looks promising.

Don't know how he could've been offered "way more than he deserves" as he won the player of the year award last year.
Probably been underpaying him for years also.

It's rumoured money wasn't the only reason why he left.

With regards to his strike rate, he was playing in the bottom side.
I think he was meant to play the anchor role but didn't get any support.
