Think the Test championship win papers over a fair few cracks.

India have the wood over us here.

Nearly lost the away Ashes after being 2-0 up.

Pakistan could well have won 1 test minimum had they held their catches.

Now this.

Lots to work on with the red ball side.

People forgot the absolute caning the Aussie team was getting in this thread for huge parts of the Ashes tour. It should be seen as nothing but a loss.

Should they treat bowled the same way they treat caught behind ?

If the footage shows the ball hits the stumps, it can be reversed on review.
Ideally they should fix the stumps/bails so it's stop happening.

Just quietly I think our Test performances were completely overrated in 2023. Flogged in India when it mattered and if not for rain in Manchester would've blown a 2-0 lead in the Ashes and lost the trophy altogether.

We've won 1 of our last 6 overseas Test series. Oh well, at least we got a big silver lollipop for that WTC game.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of love for this Aussie side.

Probably because of the contempt with which they treat anyone outside their bubble (particularly if they dare to criticise them for anything). They have an us versus them mentality and 'them' includes the Australian public.

Spot on.

I think there's also an element of the tail wagging the dog that the public doesn't like as well.

Very good innings from Cummins to get us out of a hole

Khawaja played the sheet anchor role well also to maintain his wicket while Carey and then Cummins could attack the bowling

Nice to see a properly seesawing test match

One top order collapse and the armchair experts are polishing the boots up to stick em in. Imagine if they actually lose the test,
they'll be too woke and a protected species of dubious parentage.:D

I'm old school in leaving afl grand final at original 2:30pm time slot. Nothing better than red sherrin footy.

But I really like the day/night tests, would love most to be. Maybe exception of Melbourne and Sydney.
