I went fairly standard for the first half of it, then tried to go aggressive and unique with the second half. Could be amazing. Could backfire horribly. Could end up being the same 'unique' picks as everyone else.

Now to nervously and repeatedly check on their status over the next few days in case multiple of them don't kick the bucket early.

The good thing about sitting here on NYE with 0 points is there are no forced replacements for my 2024 list.

Could players carry an unused sub into 2024 and 'activate' them during the year a la AFL? Obviously activation would have to occur before death and they'd have to replace a living list member. Just an idea.

No. The sub only exists to allow for people to have some assurance when submitting their lists prior to deadline that in the rare case someone dies on Dec 31st, much like Betty White did, that they could still go into the new game with a list of 20 names.

Once the game begins and all deaths have been accounted for, the subs are wiped from the database.
