Richard Lewis, the darkly funny, perennially black-clad comedian and actor known for playing a semi-fictionalized version of himself on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” died Feb. 27 at his home in Los Angeles. He was 76.
His publicist, Jeff Abraham, said Mr. Lewis died after a heart attack. Mr. Lewis announced in April that he was retiring from stand-up comedy after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease about two years earlier and dealing with four “back-to-back-to-back-to-back” surgeries for his back, shoulder and hip.

That scene had me snorting with laughter. Putting someone in your will so they'll reciprocate is such a Richard Lewis thing to do, and realising and calling someone out about it is such a Larry David thing to do. Perfect comedy for what was undoubtedly a knowingly real conversation they would have had.

Sad news, at least he got to be part of the last season of Curb before he passed away, the show wouldn't be the same without him.

It's just come out that Virgil was 11 years older than everyone thought he was. He was actually born in 1951 and was 72 when he died.
