most definitely.
It is annoying. We'll have to search for someone else now.

But for me, players that want to be here is what we need and what I want from a player.
MGW wasn't desperate to move, and was happy to use the possibility of moving to get a new pay rise.

We can clearly see this morning we were a path to a CL club step up from Palace, and it is evident this morning that had we lost in Bilbao he'd not even given us a second look as an Arsenal fan as a kid.

Neither were keen to be here.
Don't know really but you see the passion that Maddison has for us in Bilbao. You see how much Sonny loved it here. Hard to get enthused over people that don't have that feeling.

I just find football hard to get wound up about these days, but we do need new leadership.

In the last 3 months alone.

I've sat by and watched my dad die, as a result lost the house we shared.
Saw my job that I really enjoyed being at get bought out a fortnight later. Mere weeks from LSL.
Found out a mate of 20 years is awaiting trial for an Agg. Burglary charge for beating up his wife's secret lover on the side.
Have a mate on his honeymoon last month get so seriously ill he's been in ICU in a Mexican hospital for weeks, and needs a GoFundMe page to help pay for medical bills and their mortgage repayments back home.

So while we're the laughing stock today and people will have their fun I just cannot bring it to get worked up over a millionaire who kicks a ball rejecting us.

I got to sit in the hospital and watch us have a comeback win against Collingwood with dad mere days earlier, and a week before it happened we won in Bilbao. It's just sport at the end of the day. It's not what matters in life.

Its sad that you cant ever really get excited about a signing because deep down you know we're likely to **** it up

The most likely of Hincapie, Savio and Eze has now fallen over. The names came out to make sure there were no protests on opening day. Doubt we ever really wanted to get them over the line. As other clubs have regularly shown, and even us with Kudus, when you want a player, you get the player and fast

Bloody oath.
Just today we had chef compare UEL to the league cup. A minor success.

I don't entirely agree, Bilbao was a bloody great day. It's a 2nd tier European success but better than both England's domestic cups.
But 17th and 22 defeats was NEVER being ignored.

Virtually the same squad with better coaching bossed the best club in Europe atm for 80mins.
Burnley on the opening day isn't a 3 clear goals win with Ange in charge.

Thanks for the Cup Ange, but you had to go.

But a signing isn't such until they sign. Maybe I’m older, maybe I’ve be beaten up too much but I’ve learnt this over decades with us.

I mean we sorta have to say this, we were clearly into him and he filled a definite need. We would of been thrilled if he signed the dotted line.

I think both are true. We wanted him but clearly he wasn't as keen as we were.

Reports suggesting Arsenal has quietly agreed a deal on Aug 9 but didn't want to bring another player in. That's why Havertz had it done in hours.

I wouldn't be surprised if we find out Eze's camp were happy have this stalled hoping their first choice came back in, which they did.

Marinakis got paranoid over a release it appears we weren't privy too, and now this from the player himself.

Tl;dr for the video. His heavily pregnant partner was having complications and he put his family first and didn't agitate a move here. Can't begrudge a guy putting family first.

I can accept that.

I'm not nearly as bothered about MGW. I was much more invested in Eze. Just a player I liked/rated for a long time.

Don't know much about some of the new players links, hopefully still find some quality for a #10.

Missing MGW for Eze didnt matter because the quality difference isn't there

Missing Eze won't matter if we sign an equivalent quality player

It'll matter if we don't have a 10 signed this window

Same goes with Savio

If you wanted to be really generous to the club you could let them off if 1 of the 2 signings are 23+ and immediately improving the starting XI and 1 is u23 and our normal future proapect route. 3 days before opening day we were linked to 3 starting quality to get 1 is only okay because its us and 0 is very likely
