the shift in recruitment is seeing us compete with the big boys for these wonderkids, we seem to be shooting for the stars and not at the hip for once.

Bergval was well sought after, Simons was well sought after, Vuskovic seems to be jumping through the roof, Archie Grey we spent a fair bit on, its nice rather than shots from the hip. We had a few minor wins, Dele Alli, etc but nothing like the sort of recruitment shift we're experiencing at the moment

I do agree with this, all good to be building youth and quality youth at that. We still need quality mature bodies around these kids, not quality players but quality profesionals. A big reason why Ben Davies has survived as long as he has.

I was going to give Frank some time but the football is genuinely dire and boring. No one wants to be apart of that.

He is a classic case of a manager who stands for nothing. Players look confused. All look short of confidence.

At least with Ange you knew the aim of the game. Same can be said for Conte, Poch, Redknapp, Mourinho, AVB

i think this is arguarbly the most potential we've had in a squad since the heydays of Poch with Kane, Sonny, Dele, Eriksen, Jan and Toby. Maybe potential more without the evidence

what do you get for them though? no where near what you would in the summer?

thats disappointing reading. Add in;

Johnson could net you £40m if Palace are as keen as you hear,
Vicario would be had for £25m,
Udogie £30m

I think we simply need to back in some of this youth we have and not sit on our hands. Grey (Bentancaur), Bergval (Bissouma / Sarr), Scarlett / Devine (Solanke - obviously not full time but need more minutes than token ones at end of games), Vuscovic (Davies) etc.

I think we still need mature bodies, not those in the 22 - 25 age bracket but some genuine mature bodies. 28 - 31 year olds. The ones who will accept being overtaken by the youth. Why I think Paulina is a great signing. Would acknowledge that Grey and Bergval are coming for his spot, Solanke needs to accept that minutes will be given to Scarlett, Romero and VDV would have more minutes off with Luka in and around the squad. Jamie Donley is one I had forgotten about. Hes another who could be utilised more.

If it was a fluke and we didn't plan it and tried in the PL we'd have finished 10th which he has regressed on. If ange had fit CB pairing and Kudus he'd have us top 6 for sure
