I said, no one doubts he's not a good coach, communicator et el. He is a good coach, he is a good communicator that's not in question however it's his defensive philosophy to football that has been proven time and time again by numerous caches that it falls down in pressure finals football. That is where he has to change and his doubters will always have a say until that has been changed.


Really? we don't flood, get numbers behind the ball or use a midfield squeeze as an offensive weapon? Please.

Every team floods at some stage in a game. Whether it be forward or midfield or in defense. I think you'll find he prefers an attacking brand of footy, and this has been his intention for the last couple of years, however we haven't been able to carry it off. I think as our players mature, the game plan will succeed and you'll see us succeed as a result. If I can recall correctly, we have had a high inside 50 count for some time. Unfortunately we haven't been able to capitalise on that.

The defensive brand of footy that we played for a while was when we had absolutely nobody up forward. We seemed to slip back into it this season when Bock was on the ground. I remember that we'd been playing pretty attacking footy (but it was falling down through poor skills) and, although we weren't winning, it was clear that once we got it together, it wouldn't be long before we did. I got so frustrated when Bock came back in and started the sideways/backwards stuff again (I remember not being on my own with that one).

I would say until he wins us a flag, any one who doubts he's the right man for the job is right.

What is a total disregard to the supporters/members face IMO is not taking the best man for the job to achieve football success - surely?

You cannot be serious...after everything Williams has said over the years about Adelaide ..taking every pot shot he could ..no - sorry ...he burnt those bridges long ago ..and judging by the fact that he's about as popular as leprosy ATM, I don't think we are missing out on anything at all.

His record does not warrant the "but the guys the best coach " tag.

Want someone to teach Tippett to kick - get Lloyd.

Not sure Warren Tredrea has it in him to teach players the skills of the game but if he does i would see no harm in him being approached by the club, i doubt very much though that he would ever consider a move to the club he hates the most.

never said williams was the best coach. What i was calling into questions is people saying if he came to the club they would leave. I thought that was poor form. Smacks of something... williams himsself would say

This coming from someone that passes judgment daily on everyone else's character without "really" knowing them.

Like you, all I can do is make the call based on what I've seen publicly. He may be as nice as to his players, and that's important. But the public character he chooses to show is an arrogant, rude man. And that's not someone I want associated with my Club. It might be fine for you and that's your perogative. I don't give a stuff who he coaches... I'd have felt the same if he'd carried on like that with ANY of the Clubs. I appreciate and respect the fact that the man can coach, but I just don't like the side effects that come with him.

what do people think about this ... we all know hendo can play forward but do you reckon he could play a higher role up the ground midfield type? because i see a little bit of goddard in him where he is versatile enough to play in the midfield hes athletic and quick to ...

not my expectations but what i would like to see....attacking game plan with flair taking games on. More adventurous game play and match ups on game day. Also if younger players are pushing for selectioon play them if it is warranted. If older players are underperforming the match committee/selection pannel have the guts to drop them

As most of all win games with walker having a big year with all the new recuits having an impact would be great to see!

I think you're being overly harsh on 12 year olds. I'm sure 98% of all 12 year olds could come up with a better logo than the supremely awful raptor's head the marketing gurus inflicted upon us 12 months ago.

Perhaps that was our problem when we created the logo. We went far too mature. Back to the drawing board with a horde of kindergarteners methinks.
