I'm another in the minority that thought this game wasn't the be-all and end-all, but not sure why exactly.

After your initial arrival in Columbia and rescue of Elizabeth it just seemed a little 'empty' somehow. Was pretty, sure, but kinda soul-less too. Also thought there was way too much searching, just got sick of it.

Still a very good game and yeah probably the best ending I've seen, best overall story for a FPS too.

Give this a watch, sounds like you're experiencing some of the things he mentions.

Can't be arsed trying to find a specific saying i'm looking for, but i lasted about a minute and a half and it just seems as though for every game like BioShock that is universally held in high regard overall, there will be idiots like him that look deeper and deeper to find things to try and nitpick over.

This reminds me of the video someone uploaded spending 10 minutes saying every minute detail that was wrong with The Dark Knight's car chase scene and how that some camera issue stuff no one notices ruins the entire film etc.

There is some valid stuff in the fact that stealth really isn't the best implemented thing in the game.

Mostly just taking nitpicking to uber extreme level for youtube hits.

Stealth was useless. The baddies always knew where I was.

Just finished up

Picked that Elizabeth and Booker were related somehow, but not much of the other stuff

Had to read up about the ending to get my head fully around it, but loved how it actually finished (as the screen went black before the credits)

You didn't watch after the credits?

Just finished the game. Must say at first I was a little disappointed, but the game just kept on getting better and better the more you got through it. The ending was pretty amazing for a game. 8/10, not quite as good as tomb raider

Finished this. Very good game which I really enjoyed but I wouldn't have said it's the best game I've ever played. Disappointed with the length, felt really short to me. Seems to be the norm nowadays though, I remember playing games that took me weeks and months to complete which made you feel like you got your money's worth.

Storyline was easily the highlight and the depth to it was sublime. I also appreciated how you had to work out the messages and storyline on your own through exploring and subtle posters etc. instead of games which feel like they force you to see things and it's like "Look what we've done here, pretty clever huh."

Overall 8/10
