Multiplat BioShock: Infinite

these deals are so good...but the cynic in me wonders why they are being so generous. Do 2K think they have a bit of a dud on their hands? It's Irrational so probably not right?

That's what I'm thinking too. However, the $30 credit and XCom (which I'll trade for a $10 game) bring it down to $20 so that's pretty good and if it does suck $20 isn't a bad loss for me (Amazon purchase).

BioShock Infinite aims so damn high – fittingly, since its alternate-reality 1912 city of Columbia literally floats atop clouds – that it’s a wonder it successfully hits any of its lofty goals at all. But it does hit them, again and again. A stunning original world of retro-sci-fi technology and gorgeous scenery.

Probably not the most trustworthy source, but sounds promising enough for me.

Gonna wait a week to see the reviews, Number 1 was Fantastic, 2 Was a cop out

Its not a sequel and dont bother waiting I have been playing it since late last night and it is better than 1 and so far as good as system shock 2.

PS: Bioshock 2 was developed by a different team than 1 and infinite.

Should be a stack of reviews up tonight as the embargo should be lifted.
Don't let BioShock 2 turn you off, as has been said it was developed by a different team.

I actually really liked BS2 - I thought it was a great game.

Why didn't you? (out of interest)

Felt like a bit of a cash-in. Gameplay was fine in most respects, the game just lacked the feeling of wonderment and polish that the first one emanated. Keeping the setting in Rapture probably didn't help the cause.

I enjoyed BioShock 2 as well. Was basically BioShock 1.5, but it's no bad thing, they kept it similar to something that worked well. The reviews so far for Infinite have been pretty good so far, reckon this will be GOTY?

I actually liked BS2 more then the first.

But I think that probably had something to do with the age I played it at - I think I played BioShock at 15/16 and didn't really appreciate the storyline.

Might have to replay it.

Perhaps for PC. Though, to take overall honors, it will have to be something pretty special to top GTA5 and the Last of Us if both games do not disappoint.

Adam Sessler's review...be prepared, he gushes like a One Direction fan at their concert...

Gives it 5/5, says it's in rarefied territory of Half Life and Uncharted 2 quality.
