Take a deep breath & calm down windows.
I am completely calm. I am allowed to comment Aph. Are you telling me to calm down from a lens of Mod or a general poster?

For clarification of other straw men ooor arguments some are trying to pin:

1. I am not accusing the club of overall stupidity. I think they have done a great job on most fronts bar this.
2. I do not imply ‘no injuries’ is the standard. Ever. Some amount is normal. The amount we endure is unacceptable.
3. I continue to firmly believe the club would do well to try someone else. That is a reasonable and rational thing to conclude. Doesn’t mean others have to agree.

I will also happily remove my sarcasm about injuries. In response to your “calm down” message. And I look forward to the Mods telling others to calm down when they resume their long running sarcasm the moment we get a somewhat clear run with injuries.

BT I would be struggling to drop 12 players from our current team to make way for all those 12 on the injured list, so not sure they’re all best 22.

Of the 12 on the injured list there are 6 important/key players - Weiters, Saad, Cerra, McGovern, Williams and Fogarty which would come in.

The other 6 Cuners, Mots, Marchbank, Martin, Doc and JSOS are good players but our depth has easily covered these players imo.
Martin is light years ahead of any alternative 3rd marking fwd we have, just look what happened when he came into the team in the middle of last year, not easily covered by any means

These are the matches played by martin, marchy and cunners over their careers. Surprisingly Martin hasn't been too bad considering the other two.

These are 3 of our best 22 players - unavailable most of the time. Makes it hard when you're in contention.

The key question is - can we get similar quality for more robust types on similar coin? - Probably not I imagine but they are occupying list spots.

That is some remarkable evidence you have put together there - but I can’t agree.

Great stats. Cuners and Marchy seem to suffer all manner of odd injuries. Bewildering to me really and very sad for them. Especially Marchy.

Martin had his horrendous calf issues that finally got sorted by his wife and now we are onto hammy’s with him. Hope the specialist they saw for that can also help. He’s a massive weapon.

So looking at the injury list this is the timeline of return. Saad 6 weeks for a medium-grade hammy seems excessive, 3-4 weeks usually isn't it? Really going to hurt us.

Round 8 - Cerra, Cunningham
Round 9 - Mcgovern
Round 10 - Martin??
Round 11 - Motlop? Marchbank??
Round 12 - Saad, Fogarty.

Wasn't it 6 weeks from April 16 th.

Also for a guy going on 30 years old maybe 6 weeks is prudent - see P.Dangerfield as Exhibit A of coming back too soon .

Our injury updates have become so lazy. Miss the days where Andrew McKay would give us weekly video updates.

Do you have more information on your comment: Martin had his horrendous calf issues that finally got sorted by his wife and now we are onto hammy’s with him. Hope the specialist they saw for that can also help.

Sorry if I missed this earlier.

Agree with you to question Andrew Russell's performance. I hear from people who know more than me that many soft tissue injuries might be preventable or at least reduced with leading edge conditioning.

Couple of weeks and we should have Cerra, Cuningham and Fantasia should be running around this week. McGovern next week. Hopefully in 2 or 3 weeks we see Fogarty, Marchbank and Motlop. Martin should be 1-2 weeks.

Everyone under a month now who is not out for the season, lets just hope we don't add to this list and they all come back well.

You've lost the plot if you're watching our team and saying yeah nah to cunners mots Martin doc and even jsos. Absolute insanity. Martin and Doc have been two of the biggest outs this year. We've been killed in their respective spots.

Cunners was available under Teague. If you're just looking at games played in the seniors this would be inaccurate.

From finalsiren website for afl matches played.

Yes you are right. I assumed if not playing seniors they were unavailable (injured).

But these players have generally been best 22 so should be close enough?

Are you saying cunners wasn’t picked even when fit during Teague era?
