i don't think a player retiring is a 'major club announcement' even if it is Simmo
something to do with sponsors, princes park, or AFLW is my guess

Yep, I'm thinking redevelopment plans being officially announced. The works have to be complete for AFLW 2018 season and the men will have finished their training sessions after this week.

The major part of works is the digging up of the oval and installation of drainage, plus other stuff (see my post in the rumour thread) which would take time.

Nah, that is a major overhaul rumour, state government involved stuff. It might happen but it'll be a few years.

What is all but confirmed officially is the works being done before AFLW 2018 season, some of the items I know are 100% happening but the others I'm only 90% on.

I heard a rumour other clubs are offering Lamb a bonus to take their out of contract money hungry glory HBF's out of games. I.e. Johanisen, Sicily and Jayden Hunt.

Once they've been "lambed" - their contract demands decline by min $100,000 per year.

Lamb gets $20k bonus per "scalp" - the club is $280,000 better off over 3 years.

Makes sense to me!!!
