How stupid is that proposed Hawthorn - Richmond pick swap?

12 + 19 for 15 + 18.

Since 12/15 will come to us anyway for Yarran, Richmond are basically giving 3 spots in draft order from us to Hawthorn in exchange for moving up 1 spot.

(IE; our pick goes from 12 to 15, their remaining pick from 19 to 18)

I think Richmond are entitled to do what's best for them. If we were in their position, I would want us to do that trade with Hawthon to move up one spot in the draft.

I guess the big winner in that trade would be Hawks... but Tigers would be happier with:

15 + Yarran as opposed to a straight swap for 12 that sees them with:
19 + Yarran

Loser in the deal is us really.
