But it was presented with some vision of him in the coaches box, on the phone giving instructions - he looked like the man to take us forward (he may have even had glasses on). Sorry, I had to post irrespective of the source being d'man Stevo.

Has anyone stopped and thought maybe none of the potential coaches would want to come to a club who's board is an absolute shambles even if they are desperate to be the head coach. The board needs to be replaced before we can appoint a new coach

This is the issue, not that attractive a place with the administration. Don't forget he's had a gander at MFC with Roosy there and said no thank you.

Would love to see the club go out and get either Brendan Bolton or Stuey Dew. Both highly credentialed assistants from well performing clubs with good cultures.

Malthouse doesn't smile, all Bolton does is smile... Malthouse is hard, Bolton is too nice. Can we please get a coach that displays a well rounded personality! Dew? Haven't seen enough up close to know what he is like.. Your players have to like you and trust you as coach... Period.

Actually I have seen Mick smile/crack jokes many times, sadly (and this has been happening for years, especially at Collingwood) the media doesn't like to show, the fun, playful banter side of Mick, they act like petulant kiddies when Mick rightfully shoots them down for asking idiotic or clearly provocative questions at pressers.

By contrast Hird or Buckley could come out and say publicly they are Hitler supporters, and the media glitterati could find a way to put a positive spin on it.

Mick's behaviour hasn't been desirable or helpful so far year, but when you have grubby journos hounding him 24/7, just waiting for him to fall, then I certainly can empathize with his somewhat brusque and testy responses.

And yes, I now firmly believe it is time for Mick and the club to part ways, but I think the media's smear campaign against MM the past few weeks has been downright vicious and spiteful (especially from Robbo)

That's why Mick has to go. If we went someone like a dew etc for example. Our club wouldn't get that much heat would be easy to do the job. But we get heat because it's Mick Malthouse. If it were a low profile person than it wouldn't have much media attention as much as it does with Mick

Think MM has reversed his media snarl this year (though I quite enjoyed the old MM presser) even in the face of Friday's debacle. Conversed with Rohan C from The Age about how it actually is with the media, Q&A's and context in which everything is reported.

He'll be back in the media again next year. Sure he was with Ch7 during his last year off but that may not be on the best of terms after the Stevo/ambush claims. Back to 3AW.
