I still think pick 20 & Henderson for pick 9 and 28 is a good deal for Geelong. They get what they want, we get what we want. We probably use 28 to match a bid on Rice but still have pick 1 and 9.

Will depend if the crows match the offer from Geelong which would mean they would have to get a trade done. First pick would go to the crows in that case.

Funnily enough. It helps. Part of the reason Melbourne were refused was the volume of young talent.coming through and the fact they could get something decent in a trade for Mitch Clark.

Which is the opposite of what Buckley said. He said they are still keen, but aren't sure if he will fit in their structure now that Witts has refused to go to GWS as part of the Treloar trade. If they can't offload Witts, they will struggle to fit him in the side. Not sure if Witts is refusing to leave Collingwood, or just refusing to go to GWS (probably feels he would be behind a few players there). If Pies can get a 3rd team involved in the Treloar trade and Witts is happy to go to that 3rd team, they could still be keen on Kreuz.

Best thing geelong can do is blow adelaide out of the water with there deal to ensure the crows can't match because the crows will match if they can.(geelongs first pick is higher than the pick after adelaides) then trade hendo and pick 20 for there first rounder. Then on trade pick 20 for Scott Selwood because wce will match the offer and will want more than pick 40 (second rounder after there second) as compo.

Our contact offer... I'm lead to believe was HIGHLY match payment weighted....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was low base payment.. with high match payments

Might be one of the first 'smart' contracts we have put on the table in many years
