McGovern fractured his neck in his first pre-season at Carlton - people forget these things.

It was his neck, back and legs. Just amazing he could play the whole year out……It really was!!I thought it was his back in pretty much his first training session. Landed awkwardly taking mark of the year apparently
dunno - either - I vaguely remember that he did it taking a speccie - and wrote off the pre-seasonI thought it was his back in pretty much his first training session. Landed awkwardly taking mark of the year apparently
**** that noise... West Coast can have 11 at best if they want to make that trade.
The Tasmania timeline doesn't seem to be getting any clearer, noticeable that while the AFL announced the assistance package they would be getting, they intentionally did not tie the picks to actual years on the calendar just (Draft 1, Draft 2 etc). Damien Barrett today criticising the Devils and saying the game isn't in the right place for it. As a key correspondent for the AFL, that sort of language doesn't get thrown around lightly. There is a good chance the Devils entry is canned, or at least delayed by a year or more.
Perhaps our 2027 picks we just picked up for cheap won't be as useless as people think they are.
Pretty much landed on the back of his neck after having him knee I. The shoulder of the blokes in the pack.dunno - either - I vaguely remember that he did it taking a speccie - and wrote off the pre-season
If you watch this news report about the Spirit of Tasmania debacle it really makes you wonder how on Earth they would be able to handle a project like the stadium? I suspect it is never going to happen.
Brackets for McGovern is my favourite nickname for a footballer this century.McGovern was unfit and injury prone at the Crows before getting to us and we still gave him the long term solid $ contract. I called it out as poor LM at the time (watching a lot of the Crows due to familial connections), but was roundly dismissed and he'd be much better for us for... reasons. Even Ricciuto said we gave him a silly offer at the time, which he was mocked for saying and suggested it was just sour grapes, but in retrospect he was right.
He's panned out about as well as I expected, his fitness and application at the Crows outside of his first season was decidedly average.
You didn't enjoy Brett Heady's nickname?Brackets for McGovern is my favourite nickname for a footballer this century.
Pasties for Brian Peake is my favourite from last century.

Im in adelaide so am planning/looking at trip to sydney for round zero and melb for R1Used to be end of Oct.
Draft first
Then rounds 0-15 by start of Dec (drop some tidbits over the cricket likely)
Frustrating ASF to book travel earlier.
And the split fixture bites IMO

Yep, I headed up the video team in the media department that season and was behind the goals filming it. Thought he was absolutely cooked the way he landed.dunno - either - I vaguely remember that he did it taking a speccie - and wrote off the pre-season

And yes the ferries have been a breathtaking shambles. But the parties that are keen on a stadium are ready to roll into action.
and yet some 'people' on here think it is worth a laugh...as if something like that don't impact on a player or an achilles being done does not effect a player.s ability when they finally get back ..weird postings one can read...Yep, I headed up the video team in the media department that season and was behind the goals filming it.
