Watching how much people botch the spelling of players' names, I'm picturing what damage they'd do to the name of Stefanidakis.

What’s so funny about the name Biggus….

Taj Murray?
I hope it is Taj Murray. His mum worked for my wife for many years and they are good friends. They are St Kilda fans but he would be very pleased to get a chance at Carlton. Taj is at boarding school in Adelaide and his mother has recently moved back to Adelaide after a long time in NT. He played great footy for the Allies kicking 4 goals in one game. He played 4 games in little over a week last year. Glenelg colts, NT Thunder, Allies and school side. Played senior footy for Nightcliff in Darwin when he was 16. The same team that Sam Walsh played for when he lived in Darwin.

Yeah, his highlights look reasonable. Some good movement and some nice marks. Kicking style looks a bit two handed. Either way, like Derksen, get him down to training and tell him to go his hardest.

I've conceded one spot to EH already. IF WW gets the other spot he has earned it. If not, I'm happy with a KP addition. Balances the last bit more.

Nothing earth shattering, but a couple of tidbits from a player:

Charlie’s moods had a big effect on the playing group. When he was happy his energy was contagious, when he wasn’t he was like a storm cloud over the place. The group loves him but it will be a more stable environment with him gone.

Early days with Voss it was his way or the highway, no one else had much of a voice. In the past six months or so he has made a considered effort to be more collaborative, open, and flexible.

I always take this info with a grain of… (nothing against the poster and I’m nclined to believe this) but jfc what an immature club we have. Two supposed leaders, who just piss all over our toilet seat…

I don’t think you realise how stuffed the club was after Teague. I was within the four walls in 18, 19 and for parts of 21, and I’ve never seen any organisation so dysfunctional in my life. Everything was run by the players and fans. It was a mess. I think Voss had to come in with the attitude he did because we needed someone who wouldn’t be walked over by the players or fans. He may have overstayed that welcome, but that attitude was certainly required at the time.

Charlie on the other hand - what a child. Seemed like he would just sook it up when things got hard. Hopefully we dont have to encounter that again in the future

I know of two Carlton players who are rapt that CC has left.

Charlie Curnow is just like every non-Carlton FC player in the competition. Irrelevant and not worth the time and effort to discuss.

That's not really true given what he was to the club and how much he was adored by many fans. You can't (or shouldn't) take emotion and narrative out of footy, otherwise what's the point?

When i read the more collaborative coach and open to ideas, i really hope that doesnt take away from the straight talking my way or the highway coach, that had a very good first two seasons.

I would rather have the strict task master and quality assistants around him to manage other areas.

I feel so many of the recent premiership coaches all have a bit of prick about them.

He did some incredible stuff like the two Coleman medals straight after being injured for close to two full years. The memories will always be there. I worded my post harshly and I’ll cop that.

But I also see a player who completely gave up last year when this club has stood by him through thick and thin for years and he still had years to run on his contract. I am certainly not disappointed he was traded and I look forward to seeing how the club will use the salary cap space we have saved.
