Andrew Hamilton seems to have heard from Auld that a new deal will get done before the season starts proper.

Just a one year extension, taking him through to the end of 2015. It makes him the longest serving Coach at an expansion club.

Initially I thought it was a bit early to extend his contract as we really haven't had great success yet.

However, I wasn't aware he was off contract so soon. Im going the other way now. He has had enough success already to get even beyond 2015.

If Guy Mckenna is so confident that the Suns will make finals this year why does he feel the need to sign an extension now ???
He should at least wait until round 10 to negotiate.
If he waits and the Suns have a winning record it can only result in a longer and more lucrative contract.

If he gets us in to finals this year he will get that and I am sure he knows it.

Sign the initial one year extension for the stability as tigernova said. If he is 7-3 come round 10, then he can look at approching the club for another year on top of that haha
