I’m not sure anyone who knows anything about James Hird can think Hird is whiteanting through Robbo, even if he was he’s far too smart to do it through Slobbo anyway so it wouldn’t look like this.

Sheeds and the coteries are driving that train.

What's the motivation to keep pushing the agenda of an unwilling participant.

The love needs to be reciprocated at some point, just seems like a fruitless exercise otherwise.

Reckon it’s more worship than love, and wanting to exert some control.

Robbo now going hard at Mahoney, but that’s a more obvious case of Dodoro pushing a barrow.

Robbo is going hard at Mahoney because he was not in the Hird camp.

I'm on the Barham bandwagon now. I wanted his head after his first couple of f* ups but he's getting s**t done now so good on him.

Also, can people stop sooking about the review and it's findings? Yes we are all experts and knew we needed improvements in all these areas long before an external review reminded us but gee can we just let the process run its course now..?
I too am on the Barham bandwagon, in spite of it all, because I want stability, but I'm not about to simply accept what the club dishes up anymore either.

It would be dumb to forget the kind of person Dave Barham is and the way he went about getting us to where we are. He's a political animal. There's a difference between sooking and looking at what we're being told with a critical eye, which we should, lest we be duped by that politician. There's nothing wrong with asking questions.

You’re the guy walking alongside, reluctantly and a little deflated, but still there nonetheless. And that’s okay.

It's funny being here now.
Remember 2012, we were 8-1 and then smashed the eagles in that game.
You could see the team gained a lot of strength in the pre-season and were playing superb. We looked like Geelong and Hawthorn physically.
BT mentions in that game how this is a new era for Essendon, we had Hird, Thompson, Robinson as the fitness coach on the bench and it looked like we might have been on the cusp of becoming a great football side like Geelong and Hawthorn etc..

I feel like that was THE chance for Essendon to return to being great, and to think all of that was thrown out because of zero clarity of Thymosin and TB4, i mean, it's just, some bizzare comedy script gone very wrong...

That team was the team to do it, Hocking, Hardingham, Jobe, Stanton, Hurley, Davey, Ryder, etc all playing great and very fit etc..

I know it's silly in retrospect, but had that administration and everyone just found a way to hold it all together and resolved those issues behind closed door privately and not self inflicted, then we might have become a great side and maybe won a flag by now :(

The problem i have with our current side, is we don't see to have that core strength and fitness base.

Travis Auld in the mix and apparently outsourcing again but not to EY so starting over…

Wouldn't complain about that. You would have the think that he would have a good working relationship in place with Scott, an understanding of the influences that the coteries have from his past time here and some pretty good intel on other clubs from his role at HQ.

Keen to find out who else is on the shortlist if Swann isn't on there.

Surely the more AFL House people we bring in the better right, get Head Office on board with some beneficial rule changes.

‘Anyone that can run a 14+ beep test is banned’ would make us instant premiership contenders

I used to coach a kid whose dad was convinced he'd make it to the AFL on the back of his beep test. Nice kid. Crazy as **** father. Needless to say he didn't get close.

There was a kid who came through the system I was doing some development work in who ran a 16.1 beep at 17. Good kid. Handy player but only played Div 1 for three years and played 50/50 seniors and reserves. Ended up playing in Div 3 for 5 or so years before he retired. He is s till a very successful personal trainer .
