Should we win the Grand Final, Bob Davis will present the premiership cup to Tom Harley and Mark Thompson.

Bobby is as proud as punch and described the opportunity as 'probably the highlight of my career'.

A great honour for a Geelong icon who, despite being 80yo, still manages to get down to the club quite often.

Well done Woofer. :thumbsu:

That will be tear-jerker if it happens, good on ya Bobby.

Absolutely.

The guy is all that is good about our football club.

Dual premiership player, AA captain, GFC captain, GFC B&F winner, premiership coach, and most impressive of all, he's been in and around the club for 60 years and is still enthusiastic and passionate about the GFC.

If we win, i'm going to tear up massively when Woofer gets up on the dais with the premiership cup in hand.

Makes me want to win even more (if that's possible).

I was lucky enough to go to the North Melbourne GF breakfast last year, and seeing Bobby there the morning of the game, posing for photos with the premiership cup nearly brought a tear to my eye. He was the first person I thought of when the siren went... with Billy Brownless a close second!

I interviewed both of them for a VCE media project on last year's premiership and its affect on the community (they were fantastic and it was an honour). One thing I'll never forget was Bobby telling me that "the football has been..well.....my life" that made me smile:). I also interviewed Ron Watt and Max Rooke's sister Carli. It was great!
