Fairly sure this was on the news yesterday. Has a possible strained hamstring and why he was named on the extended interchange. AFAIK he will be given the Saturday morning training session to prove himself, otherwise Maric comes in.

I hope like hell we go Rutten, Stevens and Otten as the only taller options in defence and Moran stays 1R. It is only the Bulldogs mid-sized forwards after all.

I reckon Maric will get a free ride back to 1R and Moran will be average in the backlines thus paying a price for supposed versatility

Even before Bock was out, i was hoping for Moran 1R/forward, Griffin or Maric Bench/2R, Tippett permanent forward who rucks in forward 1/3.

Let's hope the match committee stumble upon this move through necessity and let's hope it works.

He plays his best footy when hes alternating. Doesn't take a garbage man to work that one out!

I must be one of the only 1s that likes to see Tippett in the ruck. I think he does a good job because he follows up his hitouts which is very good to see. Seen him a few times when the ball in on the ground after a ruck tap picking it up and kicking it down our way.

Because he's our only tall forward capable of taking a contested mark and right now that's what we need. We can't rely on Porplyzia every week.

He's also currently our best ruckman, no use anchoring him in the square and letting him go ice cold if we never win the ball at the stoppages.

Yeah well to be honest I think Griffin should have gotten another go, since when does Craig ever bring someone in for their first game of the year, only to drop them the following week? I'm not sold on Moran as a ruckman but I think both Maric & Griffin have proven themselves capable in the ruck and at least one of them should be in the team.

Can't remember the last time Griffin & Maric were both willingly left out of the 22.
