We earnt all of our success. We didn't buy players from other clubs like North (in the 70's) and Carlton. We recruited our team and developed them. In fact over 100 years we have been successful. Unlike North who took until 1993 to "earn" some success. You had 68 years to get it right and failed.

I'm still waiting for that cheating North Melbourne scum to get penalised. We get penalised which means we can't get criticized, Once you do the time, you are back at square one. Perhaps this 'state' came about because of your unabated OBSESSION with your H&A Minor Premiers and the true Premiers, the Grand Final winners.

I will say this s-l-o-w-l-y. In the early 90s, the AFL issued an A-M-N-E-S-T-Y to ALL clubs.

Some clubs took up the offer.

One club ESSENDON did not take up the offer.
Effectively, the Essendon Board thumbed their collective noses at all other clubs. The lack of intelligence and outright arrogance has me amazed.

When the AFL discovered how much and over how long a period Essendon had CHEATED the salary cap, the AFL subsequently fined them.
Not enough, in my opinion because of the period of time involved.

Those are facts Dan, unpalatable as they may be.

p.s. It might help if you got your facts straight. I've always acknowledged that North cheated the salary cap. The only thing is that we took the amnesty. I have also never stated that the salary cap cheating tainted Essendon's premiership of 2000, and I have even defended your club by saying that they've paid the penalty in fines and lost draft picks. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good emotional rant.

I realise Essendon didnt admit to being over the cap, while other clubs did, but that's not the point. Other clubs, despite coming forward, still got away scott free. North were one of those. Essendon didn't. Perhaps we could have got away scott free if we were smarter, but we were severely pebnalised, yet we STILL won a premeirship despite the huge fine anyway.

North are nothing but cheating scum, who havn't been penalised. They're the real villians. If you cheat and don't get penalised, that's the worst crime. The amnesty doesn't make it "right" all of a sudden.
