I happen to AGREE with Daphne!
I watched the 'murder mystery' on the other channel.

It seems if one gives an negative opinion on the reigning premiers, that is construed as "whinging".

I don't like they way Essendon "throw" the ball (CHECK LAST YEAR'S STATS) and it is becoming a little too obvious that a couple of players are "untouchable".

A caller on 3AW today, asked the panel if they had seen an incident where Hird had grabbed a player by the throat. There was momentary silence, then Garry Lyon said,
"Yes, I saw that and I thought the free kick would have been reversed", Mike Sheahan asked did he believe that there was a rule for some players and not others. Lyon answered, "Yes".

Just for Not Thought provoking, last week's North v Ess game, Essendon received either 6-5 free kicks in the F50, which resulted in goals, North received 1 free kick in our F50.
(Those stats were in the paper.)

One Essendon supporter, came into our official forum and said he thought that we would have a right to feel unhappy with the umpiring!

A) A caller rang up triple m this afternoon and was pretty irate over the hird incident (obvious tall poppy syndrome) and brererton (big essendon hater) and mcguire (collingwood man so obvious essendon hater) both laughed at it and said there was nothing in it

B) you said you didnt watch the game, so you arent really in a place to talk, you have no grounds to make any claim on the situation

C) the free kicks were there, stats only tell so much, free kicks can tally anything but if the the umps are paying the ones that are their then you have no reason to complain

D) if the free kick situation in the forward 50 was reversed does that make the difference in the result?????

I made no such claims! I referred only to the radio caller and last week's match, which I DID see!

If North received 6 frees in their F50 which resulted in 6 goals, and Essendon received 1 free in the F50, which resulted in a goal, do YOU think the result would be different?
Would you as an Essendon supporter, say yes, that's fair!

It is not the number of frees that determine the result of a game (in the majority), but WHEN they are paid and WHERE they are paid.
