Great band

Anyone into the sluge/stoner/doom/psychodelic metal should check them off, band from japan who can do any genre they feel like it, Fans of Kyuss/Queens of the stone age should check them out as well

Any other fans? i recommend the abum "Pink"

yes!

boris ____ing slay man. i had the pleasure of seeing them open for sun o))) last year and they were so awesome. id recommend the album feedbacker, which is essentially a 45 minute song (which they played the majority of when i saw them). as for doom/drone metal...i'm not a big fan but can take small doses.

you also realise this will probably be the only reply you'll get to this thread. you didnt really expect BF posters to like this stuff did you? haha.

Hey, it the only way they'll actually try to listen to anything which isnt under the label "alternative rock/pub rock"

Wasnt able to see them live with Sunno))), was very annoyed with it

I've got Pink. Haven't given it as much of a listen as I probably should have. Will do.

On a related topic try and get your hands on the album Down Below It's Chaos by Kinski if you're into this kinda stuff. Kinda Fu Manchu-esque fuzz stuff.

Any Boris fans had a chance to check out Smile - Live at Wolf Creek yet?
****ing amazing live album. The 40 minute closer of You Were Holding An Umbrella is utterly mindblowing...

I've got some Boris on my Ipod, haven't really tried them out yet, but I've heard some awesome things about them, so I'll have to start listening to them sooner rather than later.

Been listening to them heaps lately... wow, they're brilliant, can't believe it took me this long to start listening to them.

Pink= ****ing amazing. :thumbsu:

Saw Boris in a tiny little bar in shinsaibashi last night and they were ****ing mindblowing.

Closed with a massive 20+ minute version of Untitled (like the Live at wolf creek LP) which would be easily the greatest live performance I've ever seen. Just the ****ing crushing 8 minute drone/noise outro itself would have wiped about 15 years off my hearing, but it was so worth it.

Also met Atsuo who was selling merch after their gig for some of the other bands on the bill. Really nice guy, but his english isn't great (and my japanese is awful).
