There's not too much point in trying to isolate the 'bottom six' on the back of last night's performance. All of the players mentioned will have their ups and downs with each performance over scrutinised on the back of a disappointing loss to the old foe.
Yes some efforts were poor, however some of the so called top 16 weren't all that flash. Only managing 11.8 means there isn't too much room for error. A couple of shocking calls by the maggots and another couple of costly turnovers and that's the ball game.
Some of the commentary has identified the main issue; our inability to hold the ball in the forward 50 sees the pill fly back out way too quick with defenders getting pantsed in the process. The problem as I see it is the lack of an imposing forward to win the ball or keep it in the area either by marking the bloody thing or exerting some grunt around CHF. Question is who - Waite, Henderson, Casboult, O'hAilpin, Kruezer - can step up ? Need to sort this out before looking to lay blame on the 'bottom six'.
