Has he been good enough? Who's his competition?

Maybe not at CHB, but there's no-one else to rival his form in the last 8 weeks (maybe 6-8 Brownlow votes picked up in this time too...) and I think there's a really good case for him to be given the All-Australian gong (what is a gong by the way?)

Would be interesting if, similar to what was done at www.demonland.com last week, this site published some comments made regarding Joel Bowden from 2003 (the comments on Jeff White and Yze are hilarious with hindsight). If we'd traded him last year as most of us would have been happy to do, geez we'd be feeling ordinary seeing him find this form for, say, Essendon. Maybe we should remember this when discussing Otto and Gaspar. Quite happy to get a wheelbarrow and a slab of VB for Fiona though.

I was just given a new Richmond training jumper. Am seriously considering putting number 11 on it.

Maybe I'm getting a bit silly now, but some of his acts yesterday were captain-like...

He won't make the All-Australian side due to a slow start to the year remember he even got sent back to Coburg.
I have also thought of the last couple of weeks that maybe he should be re-instated into the leadership group. Although you don't need an official title to be able to provide leadership.

Agreed, his start was slow, but his form has been scintillating since then. Almost immediately after he returned from that 1 game out he's been terrific. Surely ranks ahead of Joel Smith, whom some myopic Hawthorn friends of mine insist remains on track for another All-Australian jumper.

He'd be making up some serious ground on Browny for the B&F too...

the way he has been playing he would be a walk up start in any side. if that translates to all australian selection or not we will have to wait and see. i wouldnt be surprised, although he wasnt great early he has been totally dominant since he was dropped so maybe. i certainly think he will win the jack dyer medal - sorry browny, but being out the last two weeks will be very costly.

he could make it coz players like Rohan Snmith havent had as good years as usual, he would be Half Back Flank so i think he could, he would be our only one and maybe Brown
