It would need to be your first pick, and it would need to be a better player.

Let's not forget just how good Nathan Brown is. The competition for his services will be rabid.

Sounds like a good deal to me, we might get another third round pick with other trades. Joel's brother might be harder but definetly is not as skillful.

I would be happy with trading Dutchy for him if Joel is not the right rade.

I don't think Ben is going to get any better. Happy to get a regular goal kicker for him and develop a younger tall for CHB (read Schulz)

The bulldogs would be nutty to accept that trade. Also - I'd imagine they would be after a good taller option if they had to part with him - they already have plenty of skillful outside players.

Interesting how highly rated a lot of those players are. Players like Chick, Brooks, Brown, French and Penny would all be about the same level as Bowden and all attracted first round picks.

Richo would be a more valuable commodity that Bowden so should be worth even more!

I think that we are going to hear a lot of rumours about a Bowden trade.

The one I heard today is that we are looking to trade Bowden to Geelong for Bartels and Geelong's 1st rnd draft pick. Couldn't see it happening, Geelong would have to be off their rockers to do that. Besides, if Geelong are going to trade their 1st pick they would be more likely to trade it to Hawthorn for Jade Rawlings.

If Bowden plays the last 3 games for Richmond and is traded, he will play his 1st game for his new club running thru a banner celebrating his 150 game.

Remember some of those trades last year were done under duress due to contractual situations - so some clubs got what seemed to be bargains - e.g blumfield, woewodin and other situations - davis, carey etc

Also remember the danger with draft picks is you never are guaranteed to get down the track what you gave up - mind you Bowden hasn't done much with us, so on that basis we wouldn;t need to get much in return.

It would kill me to see Bowden carve it up with another club though.....

With the history of milestone games against the Tigers what we don't want to see is Bowden running thru a 150 game black&white banner in the season opener leaving tiger fans stunned at how he never played at his full potential for us.

If Brown leaves Bulldogs it will be to Essendon or Collingwood - if he wants to play for a struggling club there's no point him leaving the dogs.

The majority of those players are ruckmen and key-position players which attract higher prices. Only Chick on that list is comparable to Bowden. Woewodin, Davis and Blumfield are better examples. We would probably expect to get a pick between 10 and 20, with some cash adjustment thrown in.

Your right we would be off our rockers. If we did that trade then I'd expext about 10,000 GFC memberships to arrive back on Brian Cook's desk the next day.

It would kill me too see Bowden doing v.well at another club while we still struggle. Bowden has such great potential. He was my favourite player when he played against West Coast that year and did his shoulder or something. I thought that he had so much talent and maybe could one day become a Richmond captain.

How wrong he has proved me. Lately he has been slow, sluggish etc. His kicking skills have basically dropped, a lot. Its disappointing that a guy with so much talent is just killing himself.

Ben Holland, Aaron Fiora & 2nd Rd Pick.

Yeah sorry bout that, correlated the info from draft info off the AFL website, which may explain why the Port stuff is inaccurate. According to the AFL website Port drafted Jay Shultz, Tim Fleming, Bill Nicholls, Daniel Sipthorpe, Kane Johnson and Justin Blumfield.
